Hi!

After updating the shoutbox to the latest version, i have some problems with my forums width while using the Actualism RC3 theme.:

Without shoutbox the forums width is correct:

hxxp:img684.imageshack.us/i/beforew.png/ [nonactive]

but after the installation of the shoutbox the width of the category isn't correct:

hxxp:img714.imageshack.us/i/afteru.png/ [nonactive]

My forum:

hxxp:www.rivaforum.de [nonactive]

Any hints how i can fix this? Thanks in advance for a reply.

Did you ever solve that problem? I seem to be having that problem with the Headlines theme.

Yes.

I had the same problems finding a Shout Box that has few defects and that auto-updates. The SMF Packs SB was fairly good, but it still had a few very annoying "quirks" and to top it off, the guy simply stopped supporting it.

I finally found one I like and in addition the Mod can create a portal which is nice to have.

I recommend the Simple Portal package.

Im getting similar problems,
some of my forum users are saying they can see the shoutbox but its always emply, no posts show,
I'v set the forum to force IE8 into compat mode, doesnt solve the issue,
as for as I can see, it works fine in all browsers I'v checked it in but some of my forum members get this error

as far as I can tell it is this piece of code that is causing the trouble in script.js

seems to be a problem with how the innerHTML and outerHTML is set out,

Yea, that's one reason I don't use it. It has some annoying flaws that irritate the cr*p out of me. Use the Nchat shoutbox - that's what I'm using now and it's much better.

mine as always sent me to new page and i've used it forever..are u using it on its own or in a portal block ? although its not supported anymore if you go to the site via the link in top of shout there are still posts and solutions related to the shoutbox although they may be outdated most still apply

is it possible to get rid of shoutbox popup completely from open popup & moderation panel , I can't stand it only coming up halfway then redirecting you off the page to a new page, is it also possible to get rid of the sound completely

just right click and open in a new tab if u dont want redirects
