Hi, thanks for your help!

I have been using the EZportal for 1 or 2 years in the 0.2.8 version, today I want make the update but I think I don't do it in the best way because I download the file  ezportal0.4.5.zip  and then install in the forum.

Like result, the portal duplicate the left, center and right columns.

I go inside the packages and saw that there is an option to upgrade my old versión 0.2.8 (too late  )
I thought that I have to uninstall the versión duplicated 0.4.5 file and then upgrade my old versión ...... but the fatal error happend 

Now I have this message and I have no idea, how can solve this.

Fatal error: smf_main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/content/f/o/r/forodefoto/html/Sources/EzPortal.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/f/o/r/forodefoto/html/index.php on line 185

if I install the smf_1-1-11_upgrade I gone a lose all the mods That I install??

If you use the large upgrade you will loose all mods.

If you are going from like 1.1.11 to 1.1.12 there should be an auto update in the package manager.

Now I can go to my forum 
In the Packages appears the 2 EZportal (the old and the new)
I applicate the mode to the new 0.4.5 and now I can se the portal, but still having 2 "Forum"  in the navegation bar

Do you think I need to erease the ez portal 0.2.8 or only unistall

I would uninstall it if you can then install the new version for best results.

I can't uninstall because don´t have this option, then I erease the old versión.

Every thing looks ok in the Mod, I only want to know where I can find the file in the Navegation Bar of my forum , because I have the next:



2 Forum in the menu and 2 in the three

I would to upgrade EZPortal.

I have running version 0.3.6 and would like to go 0.4.6

in my list of packages I click on "Upgrade" for EZPortal , it then lists all the things its going to install. I go ahead with that, its then says its installed, then takes me to EZPortal in Admin section and says I am running 0.3.6 and I need to upgrade.

How can I upgrade to 0.4.6 without losing what I have set up?

Can I install 0.4.6 then uninstall 0.3.6?

You should be able to might a permissions issue cause it should overwrite the old version.

What should I be looking for VBgamer?

In there it has the FTP Server as "Localhost" and the Port at "21".

Try Package Manager -> Options
I would check the file permissions for all files for your forum to make sure smf can write to them.

Found Ezportal while trying to compress my Categories in home page so users dont have to scroll ALOT its a lovely program but it tends to give an AMATEUR look and feel to forums i'm talkin about the BLOCK TITLES and Border areas.

We noobs tend to shy away from viewing or editing Jagons we don't understand y'll call codes but we know u will still refer us to them.

Ok here's my problem I have created custom categories Ezblock (html) much smaller.
I am trying to create a custom  Recent topic / SMF Link
I say custom because the default recent topic and SMF link are not very "felxible" as i would like my SMF links to align  CENTER.

Here's an example of wat i am tryin to achieve

also if anyone can recommend a good html editing software like MS frontpage (my custom Categoris looks UGLY)

I would go though smf_log_package db table and remove mods that you have listed in there that are no longer installed to see if that helps.

I have the same prob. The link to the ez portal in the admin section is gone. There is no link anymore. Which specific file do i need to check to see if the coding is correct?

For admin area it would be Sources/Admin.php
Also the mod site has manual install instructions for the mod.
