Board for members only?

Running SMF 1.1.7

How do I set up a board so everyone can see it listed with the other boards on the board index page, but when a guest clicks on it they get a message that tells them that this board is for members only, please register?

There is another mod that I use and it does pretty much what you ask.  It's called View Only Boards.
