"Allow all to Read my incoming Personal Messages".. option

AND

"Allow the authors to Modify their Messages..
in my incoming Personal Messages Box" option.

Is not it an understandable Feature Reguest ?

"Personal" is NOT equal to "Private".

Indeed, seems to defeat the point of a personal message if you ask me.
I'm only a half geek really...

I could see a benefit if used like ms outlooks - 'send mail on users behalf'

If you had an admin assistant - they could take care of your IM's whilst you are away on hols etc.. but it would also be better if it had a pop3 'reader' (not full email client) integrated for Admins. That way all the sites admin emails could be handled by staff with permission and centrally managed via SMF instead of messing with forwarders etc..

However I think for the majority of forums - specifically the  smaller ones; arn't managed via a structured team and so this kind of feature would be better as a mod for the bigger forums.

Until then, good email management is better :)
