My apologies if this sounds stupid...or was already mention in the forums. I did try to search with no solid answer.

I am planning on setting up a Windows Server 2008 based server which uses MS SQL 2008. I read the requirements for installing SMF and it states to have Database capabilities such as MySQL 3.23.28 or higher, PostgreSQL 7.4.10 or higher, or SQLite 1.x or 2.x.
My question is...will MS SQL work in the same manner as the above mentioned choices.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Kat,
I am curious though if that particular setup worked for EL34 or not.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this, or am I just beating a dead horse here?

I would stick with MySQL (or the other alternatives) as outlined in the SMF requirements. Not sure how much support will be provided on getting it to work with MSSQL.
