SA Facebook Integration

Im having a bit of trouble with this mod, but in the past I haven't

I'm using a completely fresh SMF 2.0.1, the only thing I've done is add some forums and a theme.  For debugging purposes, I uninstalled the custom theme and reverted back to curve.

Here's my issue:
I download the package from the mods site, no problem
Upload it in package manager, no problem
All tests are cleared, install!
I hit the go to admin panel link on the final page where it says successfully installed, and that brings me back to the main facebook page
The F Connect button isn't anywhere, and I can't find a trace of the mod

To confirm, the link to the facebook acp is http://www.url.tld/index.php?action=admin;area=facebook

If that's wrong, please correct me.

I'm using REV 36 on SMF 2.0.1

that is fine you get any errors in your error logs?

I get the blank white page so I can't do anything with my forum until I literally go in through FTP and delete the Facebook directory. I suppose I can try it again and see if any new errors pop up afterwards.

Well that was fun! It installed as the Apache user instead of my server admin user so I had to go through FTP as the root and remove all the files to get my forum to work again. I got a nice error log though.

Yeah, it installs the /facebookauth folder with all the files along with /Sources/Facebook, but it installs them under the Apache user for some reason instead of the server admin.

Well thanks.  Error log says some files aren't writeable, even though the entire dir of the website is 777

chmod -R 777 /path/to/root/dir

That should be the command right?
