SMF 1.0.4 released

I used the package manager and it said success, but my admin page still says 1.03.  Is that right?  What should I do?

You replied before I could delete my post.    In my defense, it is a little confusing when it says "success" like that.

I need an FTP program that can recursively change every file and folder in a directory to 777.  I had to retry 5 times.

FlashFXP is able to do that, i don't know any other. I use mainly FileZilla, then FlashFXp for some more "advanced" stuff.

well aceftp can also do that.
                  click on file or folder which u want to change to 777 or some thing else...

Ok, so I got this message:

" The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

From what I can gather earlier in this thread this means I have to upload the update to my forum folder and do it manually. Newb question, I am assuming I upload the zipped file and do not unpack it first on my hard drive, is that right?

And how do I "run php.update"?

when i uninstalled faster parscode it said that the sub file or something had a failure... now when i try to install 1.0.4 this comes :

I have many mods. I didn't un-install them. However, I did not have any problems either. It went as described by Unknown.

You're a charter Member, why not use SMF 1.1 Beta 2?

Because of the mods I use. They will need updating.

However, I did find out a MINOR detail in 1.04. ANY of my extra smileys that I use the "$" in the BBC display code, did not work within a post. Again, this was no big deal, I believe 1.04 is suppose to iqnore the "$" within a post and thats NOT a bug.

Feel free to Correct me If I am wrong.
