When you require an entry for a custom field, should it show as required on the register page? With some kind of icon, color, or under the required sub-heading? Mine are not. I am using a few different mods and a custom theme. If it should, where might I start to fix this little problem? If not, then where would one make changes to the code to either move it to the required sub-heading or change color or add an icon to point out it's required?

If you wana edit code then you have to edit register.*.php in sources folder. But the smf default mod is working well with custom fields. What problem you get

If I make a custom field a required field, via the default custom field mod, there is no indication that it is required on my forum's Register page. I'm trying to figure out if this is usual, or if something got mess up along the way with my custom theme, and if so, how I can get it working again.

Mod works best with smf default theme.Other themes are not 100% perfect for one or other mod. I will check creating a field on my forum and will tell you weather its your theme problem or mod's incapabality.

Ok buddy i installed a test forum at http://pflora.tk and activated the profile field mod. I create a a field named "custom" and in settings i selected "show and required" and clicked saved. Now when i tried to register while leaving the custom field blank, i got an error saying that i have to fill that. You can check yourself. Now there are two possibilitess, either you have miss configured it or its not working on your theme.
