I'm trying to install the post by email mod by Grudge. I solved most of the problems. However, I got a "cannot start a session" error initiated by SSI.php. I tried implement Grudge's suggested changes to the SSI.php but get this error instead:

QuoteThis message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

pipe to |php -f /home/autismpn/public_html/main/smf/emailpost.php
   generated by [email protected]

The following text was generated during the delivery attempt:

------ pipe to |php -f /home/autismpn/public_html/main/smf/emailpost.php
      generated by [email protected] ------

PHP Warning:  Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/Zend/lib/ioncube//usr/local/Zend/lib/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so' - /usr/local/Zend/lib/ioncube//usr/local/Zend/lib/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

[Unknow] mentioned previously that the "cannot start session" error will be tackled in next beta. Was it already be fixed in this RC1.1?

if not, how to deal with the above error?

Also, please advise whether the mos-smf bridge working for previous beta still can work with this RC.

Thanks

Dannii

To everyone.

Do not assume any mod, theme or portal/bridge to work unless the creator has specifically said it will work in RC1.

~To every of the mod creators~:

Do the creators of the mods
require from both  Lewis Media redistributor
                  and any other redistributor
to have express written consent from the mod creator
for mods redistribution.. ?

Easy upgrade.
Cant get it to cooperate with MK Portal tho.
It will not work inside the portal just outside only, regardless of settings in mkCP.
Have used the upgrade from meo.

Hi all SMF lovers... Thanks to the SMF development team. I'm glad to hear that SMF 1.1 RC1 released. But I want to ask a question: I'm using SMF 1.1 BP3 and I've made lots of changes to the template files such as adding and Google AdSense banner, adding extra buttons to the top menu , etc. I mean my index.template.php, display.template.php, etc. are not same as the first time I installed 1.1 BP3. I installed new RC1 to my local machine , to my PHP server and I liked it. If I upgrade my forum on the web, will I have to make those changes again to all template files??? Thanks for your answers...

I am having a little bit of trouble with the upgrade.

I installed it - it executed fine and gave me a success page - however my admin page is now missing the edit news feature and I am unable to add avatars from the forum profile information page.

Any ideas? Should I try to execute the sql information on the database again using phpmyadmin?

Thanks in advance...

just tested it again:
no errors,  it's compressed propely (extractable with winrar or gzip+7zip), working all fine with smf1.1beta3, I used the same package file for both fresh smf versions on the same local server.

Has the safe mode error been fixed? I know there was a "it might be fixed" mentioned quite a while ago and I've been crossing my fingers.

I read the changes and it didn't answer my question, so I asked.

" + The package manager now works on safe mode servers without PHP suExec - mostly." From Jan of 05 - SMF 1.1 Beta 1. Installed  Beta 3 Public, and it still didn't work, for me anyway. So "better" and "mostly" does not mean "does work" or "fixed", hence my question.

How about answering a yes or no question with yes or no?

Snickers

Hey, when you upgrade (1.1 b3 -> 1.1 ) will it overwrite old files? (example overwrite sources/sub.php) or will it simply change and add some sentences, like when installing a MOD?
