Not really, no...

You point to a public_ftp folder when then the normal is public_html. The 3rd image shows a folders seft that's guaranteed not SMF...

Hello Zurascape and welcome to SMF!

Margarett is correct -- the public_html folder is the place to put your SMF files.  And also -- make sure you are copying SMF files to that location.

The install.php can only work after you put it in the correct folder on your web server.  The only thing it installs is database stuff (all your tables, plus settings in Settings.php to tell SMF how to get into the database).

If you are finding the SMF install confusing, please have a look through
http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/A_friendly_guide_to_installing_SMF, which is aimed at beginners, and perhaps
http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Introduction_to_installing, which is aimed at a slightly wider audience.

If you still have trouble, please let us know which steps you have followed, and where you got stuck.
Thanks!
