I want to add a second language to my forum. But I have tried to do so and there appears to be no way to do so. The "languages" folder that SMF 1 had is now gone. I also tried downloading it via the SMF site and that didn't work either. Can someone help me?

It is simply a matter of uploading files.
Yes, but in what directory? I uploaded the files into the SMF directory and that didn't work. Can you please post an explanation of what directory needs the files exactly? Because I want to install the Dutch language and it doesn't seem possible.

As here discribed: Just extract the Language Pack(s) into the same directory as the installation of SMF.

The files have to be in Themes/default/languages/...

It still doesn't work for some reason. I have 2 themes (default and custom) and both of them have the issue despite having uploaded the language files with its own folder.

I just use Add Language within the admin control panel.

Under Configuration | Languages | Add Language.

The only time you need to use the language packs is before an install or upgrade.

The only theme folder you need to see the new language in is the default theme.  They do not need to be copied into multiple themes, if you are using the download/extract method.

But Add Language in the ACP is easier.

It keeps saying: "The Simple Machines site is not responding. Please try again later." How do I solve this?
