I have a really dumb question for some, others may ask as well.
I so far have found no documentation how to do this, but how do you change default to wowhead? Also where do you delete item cache? I set up a fresh install of forum and itemstats - I have made one post with linked to gladiator's mail spaulders and get no sockets to display - refreshed with the url for wowhead and now get two tooltips popping up for the item. I am thinking if I set the sources all to wowhead and clear the item cache it may resolve the problems.
I am going to also send this to dark cloud as a PM and will post the respose here as others may also have the same question. BTW I have done this on 3 different sites all with the same results.

Ive logged into my data base I see that wowhead is updated in the data base, but when I click on item it shows both wowheaad and allakazham tooltips - now i just need to find out how to get rid of the allakhazam tooltip -
any suggestions? as now I think this is down to just file editing

I am having this problem and have disabled the mod until I can figure out how to fix it, there was a blurb about it on Darkcloud's forum, but it doesn't really apply to my situation.

If you have the Wowhead javascript in your site

<script src="http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js"></script>

on top of itemstats, you will get a double tooltip.

this looks more like a package manager problem to me. Can you try the latest release and check
if it happens for both the zip and tar.gz version of itemstats?

Hello there. I love this mod by the way.  I do have an issue with two things. I noticed that if I had the configuration to be set to Allakhazam, I do not receive the icons of the socket pictures when viewing an item with a socket. I receive either the word of what type of socket it is (using Firefox) or receive the little box with an 'x' using IE. I am seeing that it looks for the socket image in the directory before the directory it looks for the main icons.

So if its looking for the main icons in hxxp:wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/* [nonactive]

The sockets are being looked for in the hxxp:wow.allakhazam.com/images/* [nonactive]

So I decided to move the configuration over to the WoWHead support. It works excellent... except for when I decide to post the wowitem for Magtheridon's head. I receive a:

',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);" onmouseout="return nd(0);">[Magtheridon's Head]

error and it skews my TinyPortal page and though the name is listed, the hover does not work properly. This seems to be the only Wowhead item I can see that will not work... though I did not try alot of them (just the ones that my guild had looted over the course a couple months).

Any ideas? I'm using the newest Itemstats. I never had to upgrade. It was a clean install.

Thanks.

Having the same problem,
It happens when you want to link an item which has some quoted text on it like:

Head of Onyxia
Binds when picked up
Unique
This Item Begins a Quest
Requires Level 60
"The head of the Black Dragonflight's Brood Mother"

Those " " are seen on mysql like   &quot;    &quot;

also on itemtooltips which they show the converted ratings like:

Grip of Mannoroth
Binds when picked up
Off Hand   Fist Weapon
113 - 211 Damage   Speed 1.50
(108.0 damage per second)
Durability 75 / 75
Requires Level 70
Equip: Improves hit rating by 20 (1.27% @ L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31 (1.97% @ L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.

I see them on my tooltips as:

Equip: Improves hit rating by 20?(1.27%?@?L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31?(1.97%?@?L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.

(My board uses Turkish-utf-8)

any way to fix these?

DarkCloud14

Do you use the latest version of smf itemstats v1.25.9.1? Does it only happen in TinyPortal articles or in forum posts too?

Medalist

#429
that ?@????? things happen only on TP articles

',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);" etc.. happens on both

Ver: 1_25_8 ( i know that you updated to 1_25_9_1 but i afraid to remove + reinstall cuz have made lots of modifications :) )

EDIT: i successfully uninstalled 1.25.8 and installed 1.25.9.1 + cleared cache table from DB, now i see that items with a description like head of onyxia or etc. which contains """" characters, are being successfully parsing without displaying
',VAUTO,HAUTO,FULLHTML);...

But still having that

Equip: Improves hit rating by 20?(1.27%?@?L70).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 31?(1.97%?@?L70).
Equip: Increases attack power by 46.

???? problem, weird that when i see the same item on forums, there is no problem, but when i see from an article it happens

Hey guys! So- i had this installed, up, and running. Then i went and changed the width of my template, now i'm getting

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ItemCache in /home/content/b/y/r/byrancarlock/html/smf/Sources/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php on line 8

It still doesnt work if i change the width back to what it was. Only way i can get the forum to work is to actually remove the addon.

Scratch this post! I got it to work. appeared to have been a problem with another mod interferring.

anaef

Hey DC, thanks for keeping this mod up-to-date :)

I have encountered a minor (really MINOR) issue with the newest version: there is strange coloring in the tooltips retreived from hxxp:buffed.de [nonactive]; basically, the item quality color is also applied to the stats and other elements in the tooltip. For an example, please see:

hxxp:www.elementarwaechter.com/portal/index.php?topic=285.msg1172#msg1172 [nonactive]

Thanks again for maintaining this great mod!

Cheers, Andre

Hello DarkCloud14,

first of all, let me thank you for your mod! My guild has been enjoying it for a good while now after it had been set up by someone more SMF savvy than myself.

Now, you know this was coming, I would not spam the support thread with just saying thank you. A good while ago, the item search function stopped to function, but using [wowitem]12345[/wowitem] was still working. I took a risk by installing the WoW-Itemstats 1.25.6 package and was delighted that it worked. yay!

Now the same problem is back. When installing the 1.25.9.1 package, I am informed that there is a problem.

Quote
!!
Error in Package Installation
At least one error was encountered during a test installation of this package. It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.
....
Execute Modification     .\Sources/Subs.php     Test failed

I saw the note that says:
QuoteI've dropped upgrade support of SMF WoW Itemstats v1.24, 1.25 - 1.25.4!
People which still use such old version of SMF WoW Itemstats please uninstall
smf itemstats and install the new version

But since 1.25.6 is newer than 1.25.4 I thought it does not apply to my installation.
Do I need to remove the old versions?
If yes, Uninstall does not seem to work, SMF reports that no uninstall procedure is found.
Is [Delete] an option that should work?

Any help would be very welcome.

Kind regards, Steph.

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem that has been occurring for quite some time and I thought I would wait it out but it hasn't fixed. I installed this mod when my forum was first created. It worked great until about a few months after. I would get this error when I would mouse over a link.

QuoteAllakhazam was busy or the item does not exist. Click to search again.

It looks like some one else that posted in this thread had the same problem and you guys said that it was being blocked by his server. But mine worked when I first installed it. It just stopped working one day. So i'd like some help as to why.

And yes, when I hover over the link, the path of the link is directed to my website, as if it's trying to search my database. My current version of the mod is WoW-Itemstats 1.25.9.1.

Here is my Config.php
<?phpif (!defined('SMF')) die('Hacking attempt...');function WoWItemstats_init(){  global $board, $boarddir, $db_prefix, $settings, $sourcedir, $topic;    ########## WoW Itemcache ###########  $settings['wowicon_store_location'] = 'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/';  $settings['wowicon_extension'] = '.png';  $settings['wowitem_cache_table'] = $db_prefix . 'wowitem_cache';  // set this to 1 if you want to use a shared itemcache table  $settings['wowshared_itemcache_table'] = '0';    WoWItemstats_includeCheck();  WoWItemstats_include();}function WoWItemstats_includeCheck(){  global $board, $boarddir, $settings, $sourcedir, $topic;    $settings['include_itemstats'] = false;    // only include these things if we really need them  // (e.g. in a topic, update an item or deleting not found items...)  if (isset($_REQUEST['action']))  {    if ($_REQUEST['action'] == 'updatewowitem' || $_REQUEST['action'] == 'cleanwowitems' ||         $_REQUEST['action'] == 'recent' || $_REQUEST['action'] == 'pm')    {      $settings['include_itemstats'] = true;    }    if (preg_match('#topic=#s', $_REQUEST['action'], $match))    {      $settings['include_itemstats'] = true;    }  }    if (isset($_REQUEST['sa']))  {    if($_REQUEST['sa'] == 'showPosts')    {      $settings['include_itemstats'] = true;    }  }  if (isset($_REQUEST['topic']))  {    $settings['include_itemstats'] = true;  }    // check if Tiny Portal is installed:  require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/includes/LocalFileReader.php');  $indexContent = readLocalFile($boarddir . '/index.php');  if ($indexContent)  {    if (preg_match('#TPortal.php#s', $indexContent, $match))    {      if (empty($_REQUEST['action']))      {        if (empty($board) && empty($topic))        {          $settings['include_itemstats'] = true;        }      }    }  } }function WoWItemstats_include(){  global $settings, $sourcedir;    if ($settings['include_itemstats'])  {    if (!isset($settings['wowshared_itemcache']))    {      if ($settings['wowshared_itemcache_table'] == '1')      {        require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/includes/itemcache_shared.php');      }      else      {        require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/includes/itemcache.php');      }              $settings['wowshared_itemcache'] = new ItemCache();      require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/itemstats.php');      require_once($sourcedir . '/itemstats/smf_itemstats.php');     }  } }?>

EDIT:
It looks like if I use the item numbers it works. This is strange...  ::)

Stephanius

lightfairy287,

that is the same problem that I had and currently have, see my post directly above yours.
I think that the search parameters for the allakhazam have changed, and itemstats needs to reflect that change.

I have not found a solution for my problem yet though.

lightfairy287

I've gone through my SQL Databases and found that it is NULLing everything and it is not showing up as items any more. Just either numbers or greyed-out names of the item itself.

andros13

I am having a similar problem as lighfairy287

The items come up gray unless I use the numeric value from Wowhead.  After I enter the numeric value one time, the item comes up fine no matter what method I use.

For example, I enter
[wowitem]Primal Mooncloth[/wowitem]
and the item appears gray.

Then I try
[wowitem]21845[/wowitem]
and the item renders perfectly.

After entering the numeric value, I try
[wowitem]Primal Mooncloth[/wowitem]
and it renders perfectly, again.

I assume that somewhere along the lines mySQL picks up the information and stores it.  Please tell me I won't have to go and enter all these items by hand...

DarkCloud14

Hi andros13, lightfairy287, Stephanius
can you try the new version 1.25.9.2 and check if it fixes the problem?
I guess you've used wow.allakhazam.com as search source, they've changed something
in the search output and I fixed it with version 1.25.9.2...

@anaef
That problem should be solved with version 1.25.9.2 too please try it.

Stephanius

Thank you so much DarkCloud14!
1.25.9.2 fixed the problem for me.

I was looking for a paypal donate button or similar, but did not find one.
Any chance that you could add that to your support post?  ;)

I am still having the issue after upgrading my previous install. I cant figure out how to clear my itemstats cache table.

If I click the item, it refreshes.
