Ad Management mod

Ive added this mod and all works great on IE

But, no adds show up in Firefox browser

Ideas ??

Anyone else having this problem

I just took a look at my error logs, and despite a couple of wrong password errors for members, I have this Critical error.

so im wondering what i should do do i just leave those edits out of the themes or is there an area i should put them in

Certain sections can be left out of the template files with no adverse effects. It's up to you if you wish to leave them out or not. Keep in mind though that a test failed does also mean that some code could be installed in that file and some won't be so it could end up in a parse error.

With the ads question, I think that is the only way to show it after a post. For the uninstalling part, you can still uninstall if you want but edits will have to be taken out manually for that file. I have no idea why it's failing unless you installed a mod after the ad mod and it changed the index.template.php.

I am using SMF v1.1.9 and a custom template named rt_smf_versatility.

I tried to install Ad Management Mod v2.3.1 and succeeded. Of course I had edited the install.xml file to suit my custom template.

But, it seems that this Mod can't work at all.

Could some one help me to modify this Mod to work together with my rt_smf_versatility template?

I have looked through a lot of the recent posts and it seems like a lot not answered. I've asked a question 2-3 times, maybe someone just doesn't know the answer.

My ads are only showing up under the main menu, and at the bottom. I cannot get it to show on the index.  I assume it didn't update my themes index file and thats whats wrong. However, there are no manual directions for 1.1.8, therefore I cannot check this and make the edits myself.

I'm worried that this is only half installed, and I have to upgrade to 1.1.9 asap..don't want to upgrade till this issue is resolved as I assume it could mess up the Ad Management Mod.

I would do your upgrade first. Uninstall as many mods as you can do the upgrade and then worry about the ad mod. Manual edits can be found through the package parser found on the download page for this mod or in the install.xml file that is packaged with the mod. Also, other than me and a few knowledgeable members in this thread I am the only one providing support. So if I have missed a couple posts that is to be expected I would think.

Yes it works fine on 1.1.x it's just SMF 2.0 beta 4 and above it's not fully compatible with

Ok, no problem. Thanks for the reply. I have checked the package parser, and I thought there was nothing. I must have had the wrong button ticked, as it kept telling me there was nothing for 1.1.8. I just tried again, and there seem too be directions for my version.

Ok, so I had to do manual edits for 1.1.8 for my theme, otherwise everything installed well.

But, I'm running into an issue.

Trying to add this to my index.template.php of my custom default theme since this file wasn't updated when I ran the mod through package manager.

First of all, it tells me to find <body>'; my file doesn't have that. Then it says to find </td> and there are about 100 of them. So, I was unsure where to look. I decided to go ahead and compare the default edits to my themes file, and fix it that way. But I must have messed something up because I'm now getting an error (see below)

Also it says to find

on BoardIndex.template.php, which I found, however there are two { after I add the code, not sure if there should be 2 or 1.

When I go and upload all my edits to my theme, I get the following error

I'm a copy and paste person when it comes to this (although I am trying to learn) I have no idea what this error is or how to fix it. I'm going to guess that its because my file didn't have the <body>'; code?

If I edit that so it is <body>'; I get the following error:
