Hey. I've made sure all the permissions are set, and i have installed the mod, no errors, but the link in the config. menu does not appear, there is just a blank space where it should be as if the link is missing, but the line was created.

Any help?

Baross

Your forum default language is not English. Set it to english and the link will show. After you make the desired modifications, set it back to your native language...i hope I am not wrong.

Took me a couple of days, and I don't know if this has been covered, but I feel very very dumb to have missed on critical step when installing this.

I'm using a custom theme, and did the required mods to the PHP files.  No problem, except I as the Admin was the ONLY person able to see any ads.

What I missed was the checkbox in the User Permissions settings to Enable Ads.  I didn't know about this function, and the default setting is apparantly OFF...

Maybe I didn't read the install notes carefully enough ;)  Too easy to install these mods!

Great mod - now maybe more people will see / click my ads :)

convoyninjas

I have downloaded it and uploaded the mod to my server, but when I try to run the install.php I get this error message:
Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/kingcon/public_html/install.php on line 8

Can anyone help me?

You install mods through the Package Manager.

When I install the latest version of this mod onto the beta4 release, I get a funky look in the user welcome area.  I do not have any ads in that area and it goes away when the mod is uninstalled.  I believe its just a coding error such as table error.   Has anyone else had this issue.  I'll post a screen shot soon.

Hello!

I have smf 1.1.6 and using the Yeni Bir Theme...
I have to do the edits at the index.template.php file myself.
There is one problem though.
I cannot find this : template_menu();
What can i do??
I have attached my index.template.php file with some edits done already for this mod.

Thank you for your time!

i have the same issue, and dont know how to solve it :(

@ rnorth6920, okae: This does look like a coding error and should be brought to the attention of the mod author.

@ Pspuser007: Look for variations of that. Like "template_menu" instead of "template_menu();"

Hi guys

Couple of questions regarding the advert management mod for v2b4.

1) Can it handle a javascript code within a html code? see code I'm trying to use:
<a href="javascript:void(0)" mce_href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="window.open('http://www.pupuplatters.com/pupuplayer/pro/pupuplayer_pro.php?id=384′, 'linkname', 'height=235, width=450, scrollbars=no')"> <img src="http://www.40kradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/listennowbutton.gif" mce_src="http://www.40kradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/listennowbutton.gif" alt="40K Radio Player" border="0"></a>

2) Is there a way I can display 2 different adverts at the bottom of the page side by side.

On this second 1 I have tried aligning the divs left and right. but all they do is alternate between the adverts. Ideally I would like them both permanently positioned.

Thanks

He means to look for the defined function that parses out the menu. Usually it is defined as template_menu(), however some custom themes use a different variant in terms of words.
