Code should be ok if you copied if from an ad network just make sure you choose an html block and not php for the ad

There should be a setting to show as post under the  main settings page.
For each ad you just check what location you wan to show it under.
I have done that..it is showing @ the bottom of the page but does not and cannot show on any other part of the forum even if i checked it on the Ads Management Settings

If you are using a custom theme that theme will need to be modified to include all the ad spots as well.

Core isn't currently supported yet only curve I believe so the edits will need to be made to that theme as well.

2. A horizontal 468*60 ad on the home page on top
3. want to have ads on the main topic posts or after the topic post (1st post)

what should i do? please help.

and i use overvireLight theme. do i need to install this mod manually to this theme? i have successfully installed it via package manage. I tried to install it in this theme manually but couldnt find the code i am supposed to replace in index.template.php. what sould i do?

if this helps:

vbgamer45

You put the total ad code. For custom themes you will need to manually add the add management code to that theme.

Please help me it's very urgent :(

vbgamer45

I can add ad management to a theme but that would be $15 to do the theme for you.
Otherwise you can follow the edits via the mod site and apply them to your custom theme.

If you are using a custom theme that theme will need to be modified to include all the ad spots as well.
By this I am assuming you can achieve this by doing this

You can follow the edits via the mod site and apply them to your custom theme.
Then by this I am again assuming you mean this site but this doesn't apply to me as I'm am using 2.0rc2 and the theme is impulse2.

I've actually found this but it wasn't much help

I was able to d/l the ad management mod but cannot find it  in my admin panel anywhere, other  than the packages themselves.

I just switched from 1.1.11 to the   2.0 and having difficulty figuring out the admin panel.

vbgamer45

You will need to download ad management for SMF 2.0 then upload/install via the package manager.

Hye guys.

Can I use this mod to place an ads only at portal index, not board index? I'm using SMF2.0 RC2 and Simple Portal.

Thanks in advance

vbgamer45

Not at this time. This mod only works on predetermined spots. I have another paid addon that allows custom spots.

Another option would be to take the code on the board index and added to the portal index page and that may do the same thing hard to say though depending on what portal is used.

hi
i use and appreciate Ad Management mod in several forums 1.1.11 with TP  ..to one of which i have just added the chess mod, but  there is a javascript in chess that clashes with a javascript i use in the welcome area ad for randomising info/ads, and i want to try and ensure this ad doesn't load when action=chess.

can i add a line of code to that effect in the index template? and if so could someone confirm its syntax and position.. many thx

if($context['current_action'] != 'chess')
    echo '

somewhere before here

//Display ads on the top of the page
   $ads = show_topofpageAds();

reference paracelsus post http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=225742.msg1463771#msg1463771

or is there  another way of achieving? many thx (great mod)

vbgamer45

You could do something like

if (@$_REQUSEST['action'] != 'chess')
{

}
