the ad properly displayed on my forum like this, see attachment, but on the right side, there are still some space left
how can i display 2 ads, with the same option? or how do i modify it(exp:in the template?)

im using custom theme>impulse2, the ad won't display in post page, even i enabled it
i think it's the theme's problem, cuz it shows on smf default theme, can u help me fix this?

You can use table if you want a simple way although some will argue against tables.
No edits to your files need to be made just use this in an ad block

<table>
<tr>
<td>
ad #1 code
</td>
<td>
ad#2 code
</td>
</tr>
</table>

There is no reason to use english utf8 so I would suggest to use just english it works a lot better with mods.
Custom themes require edits

i'm using English only but admin panel still not working ....

vbgamer45

Have a custom theme check that modifications.english.php in that folder too

This is just one suggestion.
Can you add the admin possibility to set avatars inside last topic ads block.

Thanks for a great mod

Hello, I just got through attempting to install ad mod v2-3-6-1 SMP v-1-1-x and am having some problems and could use some help.

I followed these directions:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse

I went through and meticulously followed the file edit directions.

Then the second part of the directions reads: CODE   install.php

I had no idea what I was supposed to do there so I skipped to the next set of directions FILE OPERATIONS
and I went into my ftp applet on my web server and copied the files where it told me to. After I did that I tried to navigate through my SMF and kept getting this error:

Table 'dailyanarchist_2453037.smf_ads' doesn't exist
File: /misc/10/000/246/127/0/user/web/dailyanarchist.com/forum/Sources/LoadAds.php
Line: 27

Any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated. Thank you. And feel free to email me.

Copy install.php to the root directory of your forum then run in the browser to create the tables.

Okay, copied it to the forum directory using FTP Applet.  Sorry, I just realized the link I copied doesn't get you to the parse, but when you open the parse, towards the bottom of the page right before FILE OPERATIONS but after COPY install.php it reads "This file should be able to execute standalone." What does that mean?

But after I copy install.php to my root directory, how do I run it in the browser? Also, I don't know what you mean by creating the tables? Frankly, I'm a little unclear on the whole thing, because the only directions I know of is the parse. Is there a set of directions for managing the ads and all that once it's installed? Thanks again.

Normally you wouldn't install it manually. You would use the package manger to install it and it will take care of all the database/file work.

I don't know what the package manager is. I'm obviously a noob. I'm used to double clicking the exe file and having it walk me through the whole thing. So this has been an enjoyable, albeit slightly frustrating experience for me.

After I moved the install.php file to my forum directory it now reads: "MAJOR SECURITY RISK:
You have not removed install.php!" on my SMF forum page. I'm still not understanding the part about running it in my browser and creating tables. Any advice?

vbgamer45

Check out this topic on the package manager. With SMF you do not have to edit files manually.
