You can just put a <center> tag around your ad code and that should do the trick

The <center><Googlecode></center> structure works just as well...

I'm hoping someone can help me out here and if this has been asked before, sorry for the repeat.

I have the Clear Sky theme on two boards. The first board everything is fine with the ad mod and I've had it for over 2 years. But, I have recently switched to this one for another forum I have. I also have a home portal (for both forums). The ads with show on the top and bottom of both the home portal and the forum index but can not get the ads to show in between categories on the forum index or after post? (It seems to be the middle area with the problem) As I mentioned I don't have this problem with the first forum and they will show on the default curve theme.

I'm not very tech minded so if someone knows what might be wrong please be patient and very precise in your explanation! :)

Thanks for any help I can get.

How easy or hard would it be to insert some code to recognize if an ad blocker is active and then present a relevant message like they do on some sites? Does anyone know?

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

How do you make it so guests can see the ads as at the moment I can only see the ad when I'm logged in

Hi there,
have a fresh brand new install not upgrade, of 2.07. Stock theme, no other mods have ever been installed.
Get the error :
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.
Uninstalled and re-installed three times no luck.

Anyone have any ideas ??

Thanks

TheListener

Welcome to smf.

Hi there,
I ended up installing a non default theme, can I still use the idea you presented?
I used SMF like 7 years ago and stop web building . Just can't remember how I was able to install mods on upgraded theme.

Thank you for the welcome and for your help.

vbgamer45

Yes you can we have a package parser which tells you theme edits

Could I ask one more question as silly as it may sound.

When installing the mods do you download and install it first then edit by the Parse sections ?
Or do you parse edit and then download and install the package ?

Or maybe I have it wrong ??

As long as you backup the files then whichever way you are more comfortable with.

Here's what it says when trying to install this mod:

Execute Modification   ./Themes/core/BoardIndex.template.php   Test failed
   1.   Add Before   ./Themes/core/BoardIndex.template.php   Test successful
   2.   Add After   ./Themes/core/BoardIndex.template.php   Test failed
   Execute Modification   ./Themes/core/Display.template.php   Test failed
   1.   Add After   ./Themes/core/Display.template.php   Test successful
   2.   Replace   ./Themes/core/Display.template.php   Test successful
   3.   Replace   ./Themes/core/Display.template.php   Test failed
   Execute Modification   ./Themes/core/MessageIndex.template.php   Test failed
   1.   Add After   ./Themes/core/MessageIndex.template.php   Test successful
   2.   Replace   ./Themes/core/MessageIndex.template.php   Test failed

Should I still install?  I should tell you that my smf theme was designed custom, so the theme is not the default theme.

I really just want a mod that will place a rotating banner on top of the forum on every page.

WCFA

I am using 2.0.7  default theme no other themes installed, no errors of any kinda
even uninstalled fine, and no errors. I am using 2.0.7  default theme no other themes installed, no errors of any kinda

Mod installs fine shows up in admin however no ads anywhere.
Codes are verified and tested work on test pages but not in the Forum .
it uses the <form action="https://www.paypal.com/ [nofollow]  *******</form>
code I was trying for Paypal.
But again no errors so very hard to try and guess what may not be working.
I am probably a Newb and doing something wrong.

Thanks

vbgamer45

Did you setup permissions right?

What type of ads? Google ads take a while to appear and depends on content.
