do you mean with file manager any SMF file manager ?
I do not have any file manager installed in my forum - admin area, otherwise please tell me where i can find it.
My settings for the Package folder is 777, i was able to change it and i have checked it again right now, it is 777. however the temp folder, i am not able to change it.

Thomas Z.

should i maybe try to change the index.php in the packages folder to 777, right now it is 644.

Bigguy

No I mean the "File manager" in cpanel. If you have it changed to 777 thats good. As for the temp folder, this is just an idea, but if you ftp into your account and goto that folder, to the right of it if there is a "99" next to it, that means that nobody "OWNS" that file or folder meaning you can`t change permissions on it. It has to be OWNED by you in order to change it. This is something your host will have to change for you. Hope that makes sense.

Thomas Z.

ok, thanks, it seems i have to install the file manager, it seems that it is any extra tool.
Do you know the download link ?

Bigguy

Are you your own host ??? or do you have a host ???

Thomas Z.

i am confused now. i have searched the mods in the download section but there is no explorer available.
so most probably i have it already but do not know where i can access it.
can someone please tell me the steps ?

Bigguy

I assume you have cpanel then to. The "file manager" is part of cpanel, you cannot download it.

Thomas Z.

i have the following menus in my panel. Maybe you tell me in which it should be.

Thats the administration panel to smf not cpanel from your host. What is your url to your forum ???

Thomas Z.

aha,

i have the confix panel.
mydomain.com/forum

Bigguy

Ok, I`m not to sure about that arrangement, I have only used cpanel.  If you can`t change the permissions on your temp folder through ftp or confix then you will have to get your host to look at it.

Thomas Z.

it seems so, i have tried it through confixx, i get no error but when i view it again i see that the perm. is not changed.
i will contact my host next week.

thanks !

Bigguy

No problem, sorry I couldn`t help more. Is there no support forum you can go to to post in or anything to get help. It seems like sucha simple problem, the matter could be done in a couple minutes.

Thomas Z.

ah, good idea, yes there is a forum, i will try it.

I am using a custom theme based on Themis,

Which one do I need exactly?

Prasad007

you must be using an old theme.
change it.

Gary

Themes generally dont matter IMO, but the sourses do.

Either run the patch in your package manager or upload the contents of this to your server manually.
