I install recently SMF 1.1 RC2 and now in AdminCP they say me that I need to patch the forum. So ... I have downloaded the file to my PC but not know how patch my SMF. Any help, tutorial or something?

Regards,
PD: I'm newbie with SMF

Harzem

There has been a recent patch for 1.1 RC2, but the download package is not updated.

Go to your admin panel. Select Packages on the left. There will be a small frame which tells you to patch SMF, by clicking here... etc. etc.. Just click there ;)

reynierpm

I can't conect directly from SMF host to Internet. Exists another way for do this?
Regards,

Harzem

Then, go to the first sticky topic of this board ;)

reynierpm

Of this board? What this mean? I find in this POST and only found the news about patch and other stuff but really I can't find the topic you say me.

Regards,

Harzem

Ok, sorry, more clarification:

The first post in this topic contains an attachment, smf_patch_1.0.7_1.1-RC2-1.tar.gz

download it and upload via
Admin > Packages > Download Packages > Upload a Package
then follow the instructions there.

reynierpm

Well I dont know if I'm a donkey but I can't find this. See the picture at this link (http://img174.imageshack.us/my.php?image=smf4ee.jpg):

This is my AdminCP interface.

Harzem

Ok, you have incorrect language files :) There are a lot more missings texts in your admin panel.

What is your language? I think it is Portugese or Spanish?

reynierpm

Yes, you're right. My language is Spanish but I think that is for 1.0.6 version. Now I have this problem:
QuoteSome of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager.
Wich are the folders I need to create or where is supposed I need some permissions?

voh

The package manager just... I click the link, and it waits, and waits, and then I get a blank screen.

Any reason why it hates me?  :'(

reynierpm

Well this happen to me when   I upload a module and this is not installed correctly. Try delete the module from Packages folder.

Reading the posts I still can't figure it out. I have v1.05. I tried the auto upgrade in my admin panel. Nothing changes. Where can I find a step by step to complete the upgrade? Thanks.
