hi installed successfully i caan't view images.. i tried firfox and IE .when i click gallery i can view only image description like following

As long as no single user is willing to give ftp+admin access to their website so that we can analyze this, we can't do anything.

I assume that you all tried to go back to SMG 1.5.3 and it worked?

You can also try this: open MGallery.php and replace

Of course, no guarantee it'll work. Since I can't reproduce. (None of the usual testers can reproduce, I'd say. Did you notice how these are mostly ex-lurkers who are reporting this?)

Even though I have tracked it down to my screen reader, I'm still looking for a solution. 
A way for someone to check what it is doing - you can use your own website to see it.
1 - go to http://satogo.com. Follow the directions, but don't create an account or try to log in. You can just "continue without registering". This will use the "default" screen reading program.
2 - go to the website that has SMG with mass upload enabled. If it's your website, that's fine. You will see the "Upload" button, but not the "Select files" button. This is also a way for you to check if your website is accessible to the blind.
Most anything that doesn't read out loud means that it doesn't have an alt tag attached to it, the alt tag is blank, or it's done in Flash.

As a registered user and a certified CSAW participant of System Access, I can get most of the site set up to read correctly with Serotek's System Access. I would need an account set up with your highest "regular" member's permissions. If you need to contact me, you can PM me here at SMF.

Then, hopefully, you will be able to figure out a work-around to get the button to show.
We really like SMG. But, this little snag is annoying - to say the least. Since Hams love to share audio, pictures and video amongst themselves.
@Dragooon/Nao - thanks for such a great mod. Even if we have to disable the mass upload   we still are going to use the mess out of it once the site goes live.

Because the photos will belong to the fans who upload them, before they were photos from professionals.

Hello all. I've installed this mod but, on ApolloBB, it doesn't display the thumbnails and previews (other than the icon and in the profile section). The image link is there even though I can't see the pic because the mouse pointer turns to a hand when I mouse over what appears to be a blank space and links to the album where I can see the full image. It works fine in the default theme and in the BlueSkies theme. I'm using SMF 1.1.8. Any ideas?

Well what's the problem?
Let me see my list... I have ftp access to weightman, eyeskreamcomics, nfoclan, mforum, our-crib, rockayseri, wewantsport, virtuelnasrbija, assyrian4all, baklja and xbmc. This is from the list of sites I've kept (i.e. may be getting more requests to things stuff there so I kept them). Do you think any of these sites are in danger of being hacked by me? Well, believe me, I have much better things to do than pissing off other people. I'd rather do it by being constantly sarcastic than by messing with files, it's funnier. Also, my access requests are very public. It would be silly of me to hack sites and expect people not to notice it was me, wouldn't it?

In short: I have no time to play wannabe hackers and I'm only here to improve my mods. If people don't want to give me ftp/admin access, I won't kill them for that, eh. If they do, they can as well give me temporary ftp (restriced to the Sources folder is fine), and a temp admin account as well. Why should I care?

i have problem uploading bigger files..even i have set up its maximum size to a bigger size.

just tell me if..the problem is with the server or..smg itself?

I've given him access to two of my forums as an admin as well as a few diff folders via ftp. In each case he quickly fixed my problem. I also deleted/disabled the accounts I gave him afterwards just for peace of mind. You can trust nao and dragoon.

The SMG works fine, but i have one issue.

I enabled the mass upload, but this don't work. It doesn't matter which browser, Javascript and Flash is on.
I can't click on the link to choose the pictures.

My other mods i have installed are:

RSS Feeder

I posted about this a number of pages back, since I had to manually update to 1.5.4, I overwrote all the smg files and changed the color scheme for the mass upload back to default. I need the text on the file names to be grey or black. Which file controls this again?

I've found the error.

Normally i use german as langauge, and when i turn it into english, the mass upload works coorect.
But why?
I think i have to translate the latest version of the langauge strings, because i use older german strings i found on smf-media.com

I am having problems just like that, no images show up when displayed even though they are SHOWN to display, no images show up at all.

Tried Google Chrome, Firefox and IE, nothing.

i had the same problem when i uninstalled 1.5.3 and then installed 1.5.4
someone told me it could have been related to the version of apache i was using

don't know if that helps any
