Ehh.. I just looked at your attached IE image. There's a white square where the text should be. Did you cut something out?

no, didn't cut anything out. that little white square shows up on one of my computers, not the other (figure that one out).
put the source code in a text file to make for a little easier reading. :)

Then it's software interference specific to only one of your boxes.

akhyne, if you want, go to the link I posted a little bit back. click on gallery, mass upload, etc.
just use IE since that's the one I seem to have the problem with.

actually, forgot about some errors we've been getting since yesterday.
8: Undefined index: color
File: //hraregular/test2/Themes/default/EzPortal.template.php(1120) : eval()'d code
Line: 466

the errors only show up when somebody goes to the home (portal) page. Still haven't figured it out. Posted in the ezportal thread and haven't got a reply yet. I don't think that's the problem, but I'm not sure.

thanks,
Mickey

ps - LinK, the thing is - one of the computers is running windows xp, the other is running vista. both have IE and FF. The only REAL difference between the computers is that the xp machine is a desktop, the vista is a laptop.
hold on and I'll have a screenshot from the laptop
Thanks Much

i bow my head humbly into this asking for more support...

so me being a complete boob i made changes to my files w/out making a copy to resort back to...figures the one time i say 'oh ill be good, i never have issues' would be the time i have issues with my code...

anyone please help. i have attached my load.php as that was the file i had to manually alter.

oh yes and this is the error i get when going to my board:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'FROM smf_members AS mem LEFT JOIN smf_attachments AS a ON (a.ID_MEMBER = 1)' at line 2

well, disregard my posts. it IS a software error. As long as I have my screen reader on, I don't see the "select files" button. Turn off the screen reader, the button shows up just fine.
odd. going to try something else to see if I can get them to work together.

There must be a "Disable mass upload from spooky sites"- option in your screen reader software ;)

Honestly, how many blind users do you have? lol I wouldn't worry about it. Why would a blind person upload pics XD

if you will remember, SMG does audio and video files too, not just pictures. And even though this is just a test site for now, the main focus of our site is for blind or visually impaired Ham Radio Operators. So, even though the users may not have full sight, they can use the sizer on their computer to blow up the pictures and then upload the ones they want to the site. Not nice to have them keep needing to upload single pictures one at a time. Or large sound files one at a time.
I've seen a post where Dragooon told someone if they had a large file to upload to use the flash upload function.
I've sent an e-mail to the tech support for my screen reader - only hope they can figure out a way to fix it. Otherwise, the wife will have to do all the uploads for the site. :(
Thanks Much

* LinK187 thinks he should have looked at your site first lol

Just play with the .css or use a diff theme.

can anyone help me with my load issue?
At line 390, remove:
, mem.mgal_total_items, mem.mgal_total_comments,

Make sure the line does NOT end with a comma!

Yeah, Mark. It'll work just fine. You can trust me on that, lol ;) I know you have decent knowledge of PHP etc so you'll be in known territory.
Awesome! I'm very exciting in getting this installed and running. I used have a really large gallery but after a year of legal threats it got to a stage where I had to take it down. Now I'm relaunching it as a fan gallery using SMG so copyright is less of an issue. :)

MGConverter_cpg.php - Coppermine to SMG 1.5 converter

Note : This will wipe out SMF Media Gallery's installation however Coppermine's installation will remain unaffected before or after the conversion

Note : Currently it is only for 1.5

Requirements

  • A working Coppermine installation to convert from, which is bridged with SMF(I may make a non-bridged converter)
  • A working fresh SMF Media Gallery installation(It should be fully functional)

How to convert :
Download the attached mgconverter_cpg.php and upload it to your forum's root where SSI.php and index.php exists.
Run it from your browser.
Follow the steps on screen, it should do the conversion itself.

What it converts

  • Items
  • Albums(user and general)
  • Comments

Note : This is only tested with cpg 1.4.x

MGConverter_sgl.php - SMF Gallery Lite to SMF Media Gallery converter (New update!)

Note : This will wipe out SMF Media Gallery's installation. However, SMF Gallery Lite's installation will remain unaffected before or after the conversion

Note : Currently it only works for 1.5

Requirements

  • A working SMF Gallery installation to convert from
  • A working fresh SMF Media Gallery installation(It should be fully functional) on the same forum and should be latest 1.5 release

How to convert :
Download the attached mgconverter_sgl.php and upload it to your forum's root where SSI.php and index.php exists.
Run it from your browser.
Follow the steps on screen, it should do the conversion itself.

What it converts

  • Items
  • Categories
  • Comments
  • Reports

Note : It is tested with Gallery 1.9, although theoretically it should convert SMF Gallery 2.0 as well

MGConverter_sgp.php - SMF Gallery Pro to SMF Media Gallery converter
(New converter! Added November 27th) Only compatible with RC 3.2 - Refer to the SMF Gallery Lite converter for installation instructions)

Basically, I took Dragooon's SGL converter, and tried to apply it to a dummy SGP gallery. It didn't work. Then I figured, okay I'll fix that. Oh, and that and that and that. And many hours later, it was done. And nobody cares. I have no life and I must scream. ~~Nao

This is an early release for those of you who want to try converting your SGP gallery and give SMG a try. Don't expect miracles (although it converts pretty much everything, except for album icons which we won't do), but if it works, eh, good for you!

Would you need to install the other gallery as well.

I have it but it doesn't show up as a tab?
Microsoft: "We Need to Imagine Life Without Walls."
I Say: "If There are No Walls Who needs Windows."

I am having a problem and I'm not very savvy with PHP yet and not sure what is going on..

I can access the mass upload screen and I can click on UPLOAD, but Select Files does not do anything, in IE it merely reloads the page and in firefox you cannot even click it, although Upload is clickable.

Is anyone else having this issue? all I did was uninstall 1.5.3 and install 1.5.4, it was working before that.

hi, I've been using the MSG - SMF Media Gallery for almost a month, and yesterday, suddenly, all the pictures and videos in the album are unable to get displayed.
not thumbs, no previews. and if I use the direct link i get "Something went wrong..."

Steps performed by me:
-checked databases, repaired and it says all is OK.
-uninstall previous version and install 1.5.4 version
-run all the options in the maintenance mode

nothing worked, all the gallery functions work correctly except image display

do you have any ideas how to solve this?

thank you in advance
