For 1.1, it's a custom edit to your theme's index.template.php, in 2.0 it's an edit to Subs.php.

Welcome to the gallery section, powered by Aeva Media. To delete or modify this welcome message, just edit file /Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php and add this line to it:

$txt['aeva_welcome'] = 'Welcome.';  You can also change the text directly from within the admin area. This is simpler but you lose the ability to translate it to multiple languages.


So I edited the Modifications.english.php like it said to do and all my themes change except two.....my main theme is one that does not change.
Anybody have any idea what I need to do to get these two themes to have my welcome message?

It's 1.1.11, and yes i recall an edit of such nature from a long time ago... i haven't touched anything smf in some time and feel rusty. Do you know where/what to add/remove/modify? is there a post already made describing it?

Assuming you're using 1.1b and SMF 1.1.11, follow the instructions from http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=977;attach=138370;smf_version=1.1.11 where it relates to index.template.php - the code appears to be the same.

This is unsupported because it was integrated into Aeva Media a bit back, thus you shouldn't use this any more but use Aeva Media instead.

I have a problem I can't figure out.

I have Aeva Media 1.1b installed on SMF 2.0 RC2 and members can create an album, but can't upload to it....not even Global Moderators.
I went into permissions and gave them (the moderators) full access to Aeva Media, even checked Administrate Gallery, yet NOBODY except admin can upload to the gallery.....Are regular members not supposed to upload to the gallery, and if not then why can they make an album folder?

I even cleared the cache and tested using the default theme.....NOTHING works.......they just can't upload to their albums!

Which permissions did you use?  There are the permissions in the admin section, and permissions in each album.

When a non-admin makes a folder there are only 2 boxes to check and no way to upload media.

I had a similar problem before which turned out to be a permissions issue.

Excuse me...there are three areas where permissions can be assigned. 


admin > aeva media > permission profiles

admin > members > permissions > general permissions > membergroup

aeva media > album > edit


It could be in the permission profiles, and each album must be assigned one or no one will be able to use it.  Another issue I faced before is if a member belongs to more than one group.
