hi guys

say if you got 1,000 pictures to upload as attachment. Is there any way to upload them quicker?

maybe upload them to a folder in smf folder via FTP then a script to import them to attachment. is it possible?

thanks

Attached to? You could use something like Gallery2 which, I believe, people have been managing to incorporate with SMF for a while and that will pull pictures out of a directory or allow you to upload right from your PC.

SMF vs. Godzilla? Who do you think will win?

wesleyuk

can you explain bit more please.

i mean forum attachment. it'd would taking long time to upload loads of pictures via forum attachment. so thinking of upload them via FTP then import them as forum attachment

thanks

Harro

Since attachments are attached to a post I don't think it's possible to do it with ftp..
Maybe somebody could create a mod for this, but personally I can't see an easy way to do it though...

The only thing I can think of would be to bridge Gallery2 and SMF and call it good. It wouldn't be attached to posts or anything though.

I really can't think of a quick way for you. When you attach pics to a post, its done in a totally different way. You can't just upload them to a folder and expect them to be attached.

But , hmm, i guess you could upload them to a folder, then in your post just use a lot of [img ] tags

Would that work?
