The button showing up like that is because the Dilbert theme uses <li></li> for the buttons, if I'm not mistaken. You just need to follow the layout for the other buttons to add the <li> and </li> around the gallery button.  ;D

Okay try this.

Cheers

That didn't work, it threw the board offline and I got this error message:

QuoteUnable to load the 'main_above' template.

Well, I am using the DilberMC theme with SMF 1.1.7 and that index.template works for me.

So perhaps there are other mods that are/is causing the problem?

Try running repair settings. Hopefully that might fix the problem because I don't think it's the index.template.

Well, I was mistaken about the <li></li>.  :(
So I installed the theme on a test site and then added the button (in the same way as vulcan59) and the button shows up as desired.

When I look at the page source all the other buttons say
Quoteclass="menubg
and the misfit "Gallery" button says
Quoteclass="maintab_back"

It says index.php but I can't find ANY of that stuff there, therefore I need to know where these settings are.  I've looked EVERYWHERE for them, sources, etc.  Can't find it.

I ran that thing and clicked "save settings" at the bottom and it didn't seem to work.

If you used the modified index.template.php from vulcan59, then that class for the Gallery button should also be showing class="menubg".

I wish I knew why it won't work!  All I know is when I upload Vulcan's file my board won't load and I get this error:

QuoteUnable to load the 'main_above' template.

Well, I took the file you attached and made the same mods to it and it worked on my test site. I'll attach your modified file so you can at least try it. ;)

vulcan59

Where did you upload the file?

Just to be sure, after you applied the SMF Media Gallery mod, all you had to do then was to modify the DilberMC index.template.php as suggested/attached and upload that file back into the /forum/Themes/DilberMC directory.

I hope you didn't upload it into /forum/Themes/default directory by mistake because "class=maintab" appears only in the default.index.template and not DilberMC index.template.  DilberMC uses the "class=menubg".

Michael24

I uploaded your attached file (index.template.php) into /forum/Themes/DilberMC and overwrote the existing one.  It didn't work.

vulcan59

Okay so restore the original DilberMC index.template and see if that brings your forum back.

Kindred

BTW: your "can not redeclare" error is due to the fact that you have apparently installed the mod twice.

You will have to hand edit your profile.php (and possibly other files) to remove the duplicate code.

Oh, I did that right away!  Frankly at this point my brain is fried.  I've been working on this all night and it's still wrong.  In fact somehow the forum changed to the default theme and people were saying they loved the "new look."  Oy. I'm about the throw in the towel and upload all those files I spent ages to modify manually and forget about this gallery.  As a last ditch to salage this, is there any way one of you guys can log on if I make you a temp admin to try to fix this thing?  I can pay you a few bucks.  I just want this fixed and I apparently am unable to do that.

What i mean is SMF Gallery Pro have:

- Every member can make his own album.
We also have this in SMF Media Gallery...

Quote- Watersign.
We don't have this. I'm not sure it's in our to-do-list. I personally feel that it's wrong to add watermarking to a picture, generally. It's a state of mind I guess. I think that if you want to watermark something, you'll do it on a per-picture basis, which you will generally do through Photoshop or similar.

Quote- That is all.
We do this, too :D

QuoteSo i try to install SMF Media Gallery and than i get a white screen, some conflict with a other mod.
A white screen is more likely due to something other than a conflict...
Does this happen at install time, or after installation, and if yes -- on what pages? All of them, or only the Gallery pages?
(Hmm we should be discussing this over at the SMG topic really...)

The whole site is white.
I had to upload the backup before i get back to the forum.
Anything in SMF error log? Apache error log? PHP error log?

Well... It's annoying -- I do remember getting stuff like that before, but I don't remember why...
I think it was when I was working on PrettyURLs. Sometimes it would crash and the output buffer ended up empty.
There's only one place where I rewrite the output buffer in SMG, and that's when the smg tag is being used. I take it you never used it? It wouldn't crash all pages anyway... So that's a mystery to me.

Dragooon? Any opinion?
Well it could be due to multiple reasons, one is that, other is parse error or fatal error. Since most servers have display_errors as off, it doesn't displays them but ends up showing a white page.

Quick question (I hope!).

I finally got this gallery to work with dilbermc, but the gallery button is not like the other buttons.

How can I fix this?

Thank you.
Post your index.template.php here.

When you click on any member's profile, an error message states:

QuoteFatal error: Cannot redeclare mgallery() (previously declared in /home/michael2/public_html/forum/Sources/Profile.php:2928) in /home/michael2/public_html/forum/Sources/Profile.php on line 2952

It's all Greek to me!
Open your Profile.php, and remove the duplicate declaration of mgallery and other of its functions.
