Mark, are your Aeva problems fixed? Last time we talked, you had some trouble with it... Didn't you?
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

No problems with Aeva... I removed your '| Powered by Aeva' and manually put "Video embedding by AEVA" in the footer. I don't like the idea that your mod could do something to my SSI website. That's not a complaint, just prefer to have more control.

Harvester

I truly love this mod! It installed easily and it works flawlessly. Ever since I installed it in my 1.1.8 I have done nothing but play with it.

This mod goes perfectly with it too: http://smf-media.com/community/index.php?topic=602.0   You wont see the download link though unless you register and login. The mod is literally two lines of code added to your theme index.template.php and a single file uploaded to your source directory.

Great job Nao and Dragoon. Thank you for this excellent mod!

You didn't ask for permission to do the changes, AFAIK. Then that's a breach of licence. And the copyright note MUST be on all pages that use Aeva, even SSI.

Hello,

I just installed SMG, and I love it.
But I've got one problem: thumbnails are not showing up in IE, whilst the the space they are normally displayed is clickable. Viewing an item on its own is working, just the thumbnails seem to not be generated in IE.

Any idea what this is causing?

Thanks in advance,
Propa

hmm

This was working beautifully for me however when I use the img tags around the direct link for images from my gallery in a post they are now showing up as the red x's
Even posts that i made a week ago that were working fine are all now red x's

Im not sure what has changed between now and then. I havent done anything differently. I t ried logging out and back in but that didnt seem to matter.

Pleease help me.

by the way, smf-id tags seem to work.

I checked the permissions on all the albums and they were 755 so I set them to 777 that didnt seem to matter though.

MGalleryItem is also set to 777

EDIT:  I just tried Firefox and with Firefox there isnt even a red X its just blank with no indication whatsoever that an image should be there.

Contacted host.. Safe Mode is Off

also, checked this on the other 4 computers in my house, and they all are showing same results.

I am completely baffled. This mod was working perfectly a couple days ago and i hadnt changed a thing between then and now.

I think I know whats happening.

I have a bridge installed on my site and the bridge changed the main url of my forum... the gallery is ignoring that change and trying to use the non-bridged url and that is causing problems.

I have no clue what to do because the developer of the bridge has disappeared and he was using my site as a live test site and installed my bridge himself.

but I am still baffled why it was working fine for a week.

ok heres whats going on...

when I use the direct lnk it gives me a url like this:

http://mysites.com/myforums/MGalleryItem.php?id=413

when I use the BBC Embed it links to the image and this is the url to this image:

http://mysite.com/e107_plugins/smf/smf.php?action=mgallery;sa=media;id=421;preview

somewhere, in some file, the mod is ignoring the change that the bridge makes for the direct images and it is trying to use the wrong url to my forums and all its mods... but when it uses the smg-id tag  it is getting the correct URL for my forums....

so my question is.. where is your mod getting my forums url from and how can I make it so  that it seems the proper url to my forum in all cases? I really need to know how to do this on my own because I am working towards getting the bridge removed and when that day comes I will have to know how to make sure all my mods see the new url

When I hover over the thumbnails in the gallery, the url shown in the lower right in IE is the correct url to the image:

http://mysite.com/e107_plugins/smf/smf.php?action=mgallery;sa=item;id=394

but in the box "Direct Link" it is showing the incorrect URL.

@Harvester> I have no idea what you're talking about :D I'm a bit tired...

I finally took some courage and spent my day finishing implementing many fixes and new features. It's a 164kB commit, w00t. These will all be in SMG 1.6. I guess its release shouldn't be too far away now. mforum, and all of our brilliant testers ---> please test rev 755 as much as you can! ;) Mostly video (both embedded & local) & audio files, and forcing thumbnails. There are probably some bugs remaining here and there. You have no idea how much of the code I rewrote, lol ;)

Anyway, beta testers will be glad to finally be able to play audio files with JW Player just like I've been doing over at Noisen.com for some time now, eheh.

Here's a quick changelog, it's a bit messy but I'm sure this will be of interest to some of you:

+ Added preview generation for manual thumbnail uploads. They're used as larger thumbnails in JW FLV Player, as well as for thumbnail regeneration.
* Replaced Dewplayer with JW FLV Player for audio files, and added Revolt plugin for spectrum analyzer goodness, as well as support for preview pictures inside the audio player
* Rewrote most of the regeneration code, to preserve file IDs and make sure not to delete any files that shouldn't be. Believe it or not, it got so complicated at one point that it made me stop working on SMG for weeks. Ouch.
! Improved compatibility with Aeva 6.0's embedded titles and such (which is what I'd been working on in the meantime, if you didn't get it.)
* Reuploading items now also preserves file IDs for thumbnails and previews. (MGallery.php)
* Rewrote thumbnail boxes to use table-based layouts because tables rock and that's it. (Plenty of files.)
+ Added "max items per line" to go with the table-based layout. (db_mgallery.php, MGallery-Admin.php, Subs-MGallery.php)
! Made sure Aeva videos are center-aligned. (style.css)
! focustype and xposuretime Exif entries weren't properly saved. (MGallery-Admin.php)
+ Added ability for authors to move their items between user albums. WIP: need to implement general albums as well. (MGallery-Sub.php, MGallery.php)
! Don't show "Click here for full size" when we're not showing a picture, uh...
! Plenty of fixes in thumbnail box code (did you even know you needed them?)
! Fixed num_comments error in item pages when the only comment was unapproved
* Cleaned up/shortened/optimized an awful lot of code as usual
* Updated French translation
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Are you thinking of implementing "Recent Albums" in 1.6 or at all?
