I'm sure I've seen some things updateable via Fantastico, but the fantastico updates seem to be a while after the actual release of the updates by the developers...

Well,

I checked this site and their reseller plans. This is what I found!

<quote>Our Reseller plans have been removed to be updated due to over 4 clients heavily abusing them after assurance from all 4 that this would not happen.

Sorry for any inconveniences caused. The new plans should be up in early January. </quote>

This is now late January!
If they allow 4 customers to bring down the entire sales department. Not very good. I use a host which I have been extrememly happy with, they use fantastico, unfortunately are not displaying SMF yet, so I will not release their name, as I have seen some of you post already that your hosts are offering SMF1.0.

Whichever host offers SMF1.01 1st, I would like to hear about it. Please email me directly if you like.

Darn my fantastico still doesn't have SMF.. hostultra.com needs to update it X_X.

Also, guy who was saying CPanels file manger is fast, is right but you have to upload things by 8 files at a time.. that isn't so fast.

Well, if you have cPanel, it'd usually be a good bet that you've got ftp access too - so why not just upload that way?  :P

God? is Allah? So sorry...
I believe some people consider it swearing if it is used in a certain manner

You used Gods name in an inappropriate manner. While some people use it passively, some people remain offended by it. We must remember we span several countries, languages, and religions and in doing so we must do our best to respect everyone. It was just a heads up :)

Hmmm, to some of us a word is just a word.   :-X

That doesn't matter. You must still remain respectful to other people's views.

Hmm, I didn't notice that.  I use their shared plans which I think are excellent.  However, I am going to move to http://lypha.com.  I heard their web security is excellent.

I'm certainly not saying that any one should disrespect anothers religion or views, but I can't see how anyone could possibly be seen to be disrespectful for using the word "God" in exclaimation or surprise.
Are we saying now that non-christians are excluded from using the word "God" ?

That is the latest version of fantastico. SMF is installable through this version. Did the fantastico administrator on your server enable SMF to be installed by your users?
I am the server administrator  ;) SMF just doesnt appear in the list of software to be enabled. I'm sticking in a ticket to them about it - see whats going on.

Most people consider using the lord's name in vain to be swearing.  I wouldn't exclaim "Allah" or anything else either - that would be just as bad.

Nobody is making a huge deal out of it Fizzy...it's just been requested to not use it in that manner if at all possible because it does bother some people here - I personally never use the Lord's name in vain and teach my son the same thing.

So, lets all go back to our usual fun ways :)

That's fine by me guys, as I said, I have no problems respecting other people beliefs or religions.
Being an agnostic as I am it makes it hard to understand the thought process which was why I asked, but if using the word is frowned upon then you certainly won't get any complaints from me, I'm happy to go with the flow on this :)
