Last night I changed my SMF to 1.1.10 and tried to install package (Shoutbox_2[1].0.zip), then error has ocurred

"The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF. "

I will try manual installation

I got the Auto installer to work now.

Download the attached file below.
And the Credits still goes to the maker. I just changed some in the package-info.xml to make it compatible with 1.1.10

The installer worked but the shoutbox aren't working 100%

hey i m getting the shoutbox window but the shouts are not being visible..like the shout is being send and is not visible...please help

I'm getting the same problem, the shoutbox is visible but nothing on it. i'm with 1.1.10 using that package that Morp posted.

there is a problem when using IE8.
The chat/post is not show until we click COMPATIBALITY VIEW option for IE8.

Yes, It's a Syntax Error in the files. Click on Moderate Button and if the pop-up shows a Syntax error. Try change the 1.1.X Source -> Shoutbox.php to the 2.X Source -> Shoutbox.php
Then the moderation will work but still the Shoutbox won't work because it will still have the Syntax Error, I've tried to get the Syntax Error to disappear but no Success I've to change ALOT if I want it to work which I don't want to.

What forum version are you using?

For those who got a Syntax error or couldn't send a message in the shoutbox and so-on after updated to 1.1.10
Please use this package in attachments.
This will fix the Syntax error and make you able to send messages again and the problem is solved!

1.) the Shoutbox is standardly hided, how can i change it that it is everytime shown?

2.) if the shoutbox is shown, the browser jumps alone at every site loading down to the box, how can i disable that?

Go to the administration panel of the shoutbox and uncheck the option "Auto hide Shoutbox".

I don't understand your issue, do you mean page reaload every time shoutbox try to get msgs or post?

If it is, check if you have placed correctly javascript files (shoutbox.js and colorpicker.js)

What you mean with "except the sound button"?? It doens't work??
Remember that sound only plays while getting new messages (it means new messages from "other" users, not you)

Ok, from now, I will be fixing all bugs you guys report and will also respond to any question. I already uploaded a new version with several bugs fixed, so tell me if there is any problem there.

Ohhh, I forgot, you wont need to uninstall - reinstall to upgrade version any more. I finally learn how to upgrade xD !! so DON'T uninstall or you will lose all old data...
