Awesome!  I'll just wait for the release before enabling the embedding. 

v2.0.3 will be released today. It's ready and packaged. Maybe in a few minutes, maybe in a few hours.

I wanted to ask.  Are there any plans to set different upload limits for video, audio, or image files?  What I mean is it would be really nice to set a higher limit for video files over images.

Yes. It's in the Quotas tab in the admin area. You can even set different profiles for different membergroups and different albums.

kudos for another wonderful update!

i'm trying to use FlowPlayer for certein files, but when i try to change the player in Subs-MGallery-Vital.php, i'm having some trouble using links such as $galurl . 'sa=media;id=' . $id_file.

The new player just won't recognize it.

needless to say that if you think that the problem is with the player i chose, don't bother yourself with this issue...

SMG is tied in many ways to JWPlayer... I don't even know if at this point it's possible to switch to FlowPlayer without changing a great deal of code. Can you tell me what the problem is with JWPlayer? It is a special recompiled version I made to ensure best balance between comfort & functionality for all file formats supported in SMG...

basically JWPlayer is great, but in my server i came across a very strange issue - while the file is being loaded, none of the other links in the page work. only when the loading of the entire mp3 file is finished, everything get's back to normal.

when using a different player, such as AEVA player (with embedded url), it works just fine.

anyway, if i'll come up with a nice solution, i'll be happy to share it.

I remember seeing that error show up once for someone, and figuring out how to fix it. I don't remember exactly, though.
Try to find more info in this topic. But it's old... Maybe at smf-media.

Also make sure your browser allows you to have more than 1 HTTP connection per server.

PS: Aeva doesn't have a dedicated player. The next version of Aeva will be merged with SMG (and *will* use the player), so you probably will have to fix your JWPlayer issue first

From what I can see...
- Using Safari, links work just fine.
- Using Opera, I can reproduce your problem, and even if I open the clicks in a new window, they won't load, which definitely means, *because it's in a separate process*, this is only linked to the server, not the software. That is, Safari probably stops the Flash player when it receives a request for a new link. Which would explain why it works on Safari... I'm pretty sure that's also why FlowPlayer works. It has an awful LOT of Javascript running. It probably has a thread running to test for link clicking and close the player. Which should be useless (closing the player is probably in the browser's garbage collection list. Otherwise it would be such a waste of resources!)

You should really, really, really ask your host about this.

Just ask them whether it's normal that the server refuses to let you click to another link on your site when a multimedia file is streaming. Specify that you think it means the server only accepts one connection per IP, which is not normal.

BTW, for your appreciation: you have Wikipedia links below the buggy page. Try clicking on them. Guess what... (Yeah, it works because they're on another server.)

Oh dear I have just tried upgrading from Media Gallery 2.0.2 to 2.0.3 and get this fatal error...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function db_extend() in /customers/animanon.com/animanon.com/httpd.www/Forum/Packages/temp/db_mgallery.php on line 115

can anybody help please as if I try to re-install the old version 2.0.2 this keeps coming up now,and i have lost my gallery link Btw Using Smf 1.1.10, I have never had any problems with earlier releases amnd they had always installed correctly.

If you're using SMF1, you shouldn't be going through the SMF2 codepath (the only one that calls db_extend)...
Did you initialize $smcFunc for some reason?

ye of so little faith...well it did work very well in fact !! Im suprised that the latest upgrade to smf Media gallery did that to me! I might take a look at the offending line in the db_mgallery.php file and perhaps delete it and any other refs to it
