Well, check_curl.php says "curl is installed" but I was unable to upload any pic on the forum installed on that server using SIS3.0.4 both give the "XML return failed" message.

This part is the most important. Although curl is installed on your host, your provider has disabled the curl_exec() command for security reasons. Contact your provider for further assistance and to request that this command be enabled.

Try reviewing some of the recent posts to this thread. Your specific error is discussed and a potential solution is provided.

Hey Rik©, I've found a little typo in my french translation on the SIS frame where it says upload succeeded so please replace $txt="envoi reussie!" with $txt="envoi réussi !"
Please, try to fix this before the next release.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Vroum.

rostamiani

Thanks BWJM  :D

I applied your fix to the package and it works  ;)
I attached the fixed package for others ...

BWJM

Just to be clear, the instructions I provided and the "fixed" package posted by rostamiani above do not constitute an official patch from the mod owner. They may or may not work for you and have not been exhaustively tested on multiple versions/systems.

Rik© advised that an official new version will be coming out soon. I recommend that the patient people reading this thread wait for the official version, however the ones who cannot wait may use my instructions or rostamiani's package at their own risk.

Rik©

Thanks for explaining BWJM.
Thanks for the correction vroum.

Hi rostamiani !

It's kind to you to share your fixed package, I could do it too, even BWJM could do it (he fixed the bug!) but we didn't do, in order to show kindness/respect to the hard work done by Rik©, it's HIS idea HIS mod HIS work, so, he is the only one who should make releases/patches/fixes for HIS mod.

Take no offense, imagine everyone started modding Rik©'s mod, would it still belong to HIM, yes !..., would the community benefit from a trusted and bug-free release, not so sure...think about a newbie wanting to install the SIS mod and on this thread he/she finds 10 different packages from 10 different members, which one will he/she choose, trust & be confident with ? ...That's the way it goes in the "open source" & it's for the benefit of the community !  ;)

Regards,
Vroum.

Thanks for explaining vroum.

I know i'm late with updating, sorry for that, but atm i'm real busy @ work AND i want to spend some time with my family too (my kid has 'may vacation' for 2 weeks  :o ).

Hope i'll find some time tonight to release SIS 3.0.5/3.1.3

-Rik©

ps rostamiani, why not make a translation of SIS in your own language (and mail it to me).
psps i will create an updated translation package...

rostamiani

Thank a lot Rik@
I translated your MOD into Persian
The translated files attached :D

Thanks a lot :D

Rik©

Hi

update:
Looks like i got an older php/libcurl because BWJM's fix doesn't work for me...
So it will take a little longer to fix the filetype error for all libcurl.

I get the same error that Cyber Junior:
QuoteOops, something went wrong
(XML return failed)

At the retry says:

Quote
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.mi_url.net/sis/SISiframe.php

The following error was encountered:

Zero Sized Reply

Squid did not receive any data for this request.

I use Free Host (Host Zoby) may be that the cause of the problem?.

---------------------- o --------------------

I Added to this MOD the language spanish_latin, as attached as:
only_changed.zip = only modified files and aggregates.
SIS312.zip = the MOD with the Spanish translation built ready to install.

;D

Sakae

Sakae, the fix you indicate , is for version 3.0.3 and I have version 3.1.2. Probe and also the continuous error.
Apply this fix and the error continues.

Change the SIS folder permissions to 777 and continue the error ..
Run check_curl and tells me that is installed.

???

BWJM's fix only fixes the 'FileType error' (if you have the latest libcurl installed).
The fix is for SIS v3.0.x AND SIS v3.1.x.
There is a new check_curl available which displays cURL version and also checks if the required cURL functions are enabled.
