First i will release 2 versions (SMF 1.1.11 and SMF 2) for those who don't have the latest php/libcurl installed (php 5.2.13 (libcurl 7.20.0) : Works just fine).
Then i will release 2 versions with the 'FileType error' fix for those who do have libcurl 7.20.0

Hey Rik©, I just tested the new check_curl.php on the non working server and the output is the following:

cURL is installed
curl version: 7.19.5

curl_init: Enabled
curl_setopt: Enabled
curl_exec: Enabled
curl_close: Enabled

I couldn't test it on my working test forum because its server was under heavy load, but I could show the phpinfo) page & the following is wierd:
cURL support enabled
cURL Information libcurl/7.19.5 zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5

Same config & same version of cURL on both the working & non working server  :o so there might be something else that's causing  the problem  :-\

The new check_curl.php looks good, if only it could display the right download link for the found cURL version ;)

Keep up the great work !
Vroum.

Rik Trust mi .... the biggest problem with this mod now .. people assume that the pics will automatically be added into post  :-[ So i am having lots of people asking where are the pics .. when i check folder i see sometimes 5-10 duplicates of the same pic .. i know that all the users have to do is read .. but having the pics auto insert would be the icing on the cake ..

How soon can we look for that from the Mod ??

Whow. When did this thread stop being about making friendly suggestions asking to expectations? Heck, even a 'please' would have been nice.

Oh wait, this is exactly why I stopped writing mods. It stopped being about something I wanted to do to help and became a list of ever growing demands.

Without being funny:
QuoteHow soon can we look for that from the Mod ??

That isn't "please can we have this feature". That isn't "can this be added?"

This reads, "Right, you're going to add it for me. How soon can you do it?"

If it were me, I'd be saying no to it. Rik has spent a lot of time on this mod already, and something like that is a surprising amount of work to introduce.

Rik©

It's ok Arantor.
aw06 knows it will not be added soon.
And it's definitely not "the biggest problem with this mod now".

But Arantor is right....
QuoteRik has spent a lot of time on this mod already, and something like that is a surprising amount of work to introduce.

ps tip for aw06 - use ctrl+c/ctrl+v to copy/paste  :P

if you read back in the topic you can see where we talked about this already, i was just commenting on it again as for me it's what would make the mod perfect

And that's where I get frustrated, and why I just stopped writing little mods for people, because it then stops being about something being done for fun, and starts being a chore.

Shouldn't really be writing mods for fun then, if it's not something you take seriously then you will get annoyed by it easily..

BWJM

Can we stick on topic please and leave the philosophical discussions about whether or not to write mods and the scolding people for making demands to some other thread?

This thread is about the Simple ImageShack mod, and nothing else. When people are subscribed to a topic, they want to be notified when replies are made. When they check the thread to see that it's just more bickering and off-topic junk like the last several posts, it annoys them. So let's keep this on-topic please and if you want to talk about something else, use another thread.

I can't believe I have to be saying this on a forum that is comprised mostly of administrators of other forums.

Thanks!

As far back as 7.18.2?

Off Topic, as it seems to be the fashion lol
Where is the Ig-oh theme copyright on [THIS] site of yours aw06?

OFF TOPIC once again ..

I took it off .. as Koni .. his sites ... even here .. he no longer exists and supports the theme ...
His copywrite points to this .. http://img.xrea.com/err.fcg?404 i don't know if you can make something of it ...

But all and all i pretty much support the theme myself now

Please back on topic ... dont want people to start having a fit

Yes.
It's actually a 'bypass'  :P, when the error is caused by the 'FileType error' the member can try to upload it with the classic upload form (with a result page/pop-up).
Eventually i will release SISv4 which will have a different 'engine' to avoid this problem.

Check [THIS] out.

That's not the theme I'm using .. that person may have release that version of the original theme by Koni ... trust mi Koni ran into some problems here as the theme had some bugs and it was removed from the theme site .. and koni disappeared soon after ..

That person may have gone a step further and actually recieved permission to take over the original. Making All rights 'theirs'.
Because the original author nolonger supports their primary release, does that automatically give You the right to remove their copyright?
Anyways, my apologies Ric, I just cannot stand people who remove a 'signature' of anothers hard work.
I will nolonger continue my querys
