Thanks for pointing the error.
I already got the complete portuguese translation, but atm i only added it to the 'front-end', i will add it to the ACP later.

The Portuguese language file (SIS.portuguese-utf8.php) is located in the ./Your_SMF/sis/lang folder.
Rename it to SIS.portuguese-utf8_pt.php and Portuguese should be displayed (front-end only, no admin yet but will be included eventually).

That didnt work, is there any other possible error or thing I can do? Or any other piece of code to edit?

Thanks in advance

Hi Rik©,

I tried bwjm's fix sis3.0.5 on my non working server & it didn"t work neither...when i click to host an image the mod(iframe) disapears...what did I get wrong ? Is it just known to be non working with cURL 7.19.5 ?

EDIT:
I have noticed that, after editing sisxmlapi.php & putting it back in the package, it is listed as an empty file on the server, when I list the package files & I want to see the contents of sisxmlapi.php it is empty, after installing, the mod won't work because of this... any idea ?
I'm using ubuntu's archive manager to delete the file from the package and replace it with the edited one...I used Quanta+ 3.5 to edit sisxmlapi.php

Thanks !
Vroum.

Anyone saw my edited previous poste ?

I've also noticed that after editing the SISxmlapi.php file it gets encoded in UTF-8 instead of its original ISO-8859-15 encoding...Is that the cause of my problem ?

Thanks !

Yes   ;D

Probably not.
The editor must have some option to set the encoding/format.

bwjm's fix only works with cURL 7.20.0 and up.

You can try to rename the ./sis/SISxmlapi.php to SISxmlapi.php~ and upload the edited SISxmlapi.php to the /sis folder...
or uninstall and delete the original mod, then upload the edited mod-package (check the zip for empty files) and install it.

That's what I wanted to do, but gEdit says that it can not save it because some characters are in UTF-8 & will be lost otherwise...but i can't force it even if I lose some chars...in Quanta+ I set the encoding to ISO 8859-15 and save, but when i reopen it in gEdit it wants to save it in UTF-8 ??? :o

Any Idea ?

ps: this reminds me my post at rostamiani where i said "blablabla, i could do it but i didn't do so, because, blablabla..."  ;D

EDIT:

I think it is the archiver that is causing the issue, when i unpacked all the mod files and repacked'em & uploaded my pack it says "The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted." so, Ubuntu's archiver is creating an archive in a zip format that isn't understood by the server.

What are you using to produce a "compatible" archive ?

Thanks !
Vroum.

Rik©

I'm using PSPad editor for editing and FreeCommander for file management.
For creating/extracting archives (zip) i'm using PeaZip.

Thanks for the info !  ;)

EDIT:
I confirm, it was a packager issue & now PeaZip fixed it.

I have Curl but for some reason I get this error when uploading an image

"Warning: copy() [function.copy]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/twctoday/public_html/forums/sis/SISxmlapi.php on line 62

Maybe it's the (permission settings of the) attachment folder.
Check if it's writable, if not then chmod it to 755 or 777.

Glad it's also working on the other server.
I think it had something to do with this....
Quote from: I,RobotRandom segments of code, that have grouped together to form unexpected protocols.

;D That's a good one, the kind of things you can't learn at school  ;)

BTW, how do I fix that typo on 'envoi réussie!' ? It should be 'envoi réussi !' I tried to edit SISv305.lang.xml locally but I couldn't find the 'envoi reussie!' string, the XML files look like they're crypted...

Any idea ?

Thanks !
Vroum.

Rik©

Vroum, look for
$SISiframe_txt44 = "Envoi réussie!";
in YourSMF/sis/lang/SIS.french.php and YourSMF/sis/lang/SIS.french-utf8.

I'll officially fix it with the next release.

-Rik©

ps i'll answer your pm later today.... not much time atm :o

vroum

Thanks for the help Rik©!
I'll fix that typo on my forum & see what I can do with what you pointed in PM.

Hey Rik©, got my PM ?

How can I remove that message under the classic upload link ? (you know "MySQL server gone down...") this time I think it has something to do with error handling, my htaccess has php errors set to off but the mod is showing error messages in case of a gateway timeout, this apeared since SISv305, it was better when we had only that "xml return failed" that meant nothing to no one :)
it'll be better if you make a "production" version & a "debug" version of your mod.

What do you think ?

Vroum.

Rik©

You're right, i will have to look at the error handling.
In the mean time ....
Look for (line 150)
        exit;
and replace with
        exit("error");

-Rik©

ps haven't read your pm yet, will do after i had some coffee  ;D

You mean (line 150) before the edit ? ;)

is it this one </tr>
</table>
        ';
        exit;  //<<<this one ?
}

$xmlData = explode("\n",$xmlString);

Thanks !
