Installed with no issues, other than directory/file permissions on SMF 2.0 Final Release.

I've tried several other portal mods...and then this one.  What was I thinking?  I should have stopped here in the first place.  Oh well...live and learn, I guess.

Hats off to the Devs on this one!  Nicely done...and as the name implies...very simple to use.

All my best!

Edit...

I do, however, have one small cosmetic issue.  (See attached image).  Is this an issue with the css for the mod or, the theme?

The titles for the blocks on the Curve and Core themes are fine...it's just the other themes that have this issue.

TheListener

It is to do with the css file.

I can't rightly remember how to correct it so rather than give details with a dodgy memory I would advise a search either within this topic or on www.simpleportal.net

Copy portal.css from the default theme to your custom theme's css folder. That generally fixes it.

hi, having a problem with the front page on smf 2.0 gold. when typing mydomain.com - it goes straight to the forum and not the portal front page, there is also no link to the portal when going directly to the root domain address mydomain.com. This is also a fresh install of smf 2.0 which has not been upgraded.

any ideas?

Doing the 2.0 install would have wiped out any mods you had previously installed. Did you install SimplePortal AFTER the SMF 2.0 install?

Fresh install of 2.0 gold. No previous installation, no upgrade. Simple portal mod installed for the first time after install.

No Portal, no portal admin options -- Sounds like the install failed, but the Package Manager did not notice. This is most likely a permission or file ownership problem. Please read http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=solving_install_problems for more information.

Sometimes, just manually creating a file called temp with the most permissive settings possible in the Packages directory solves the problem. That would be my first try.

In portal general settings, set to Portal Mode.  Also, uncheck portal redirection and save your changes...

While installating i got an error

Question regarding SimplePortal copyright footer...

See attached images...

Running SMF 2.0 Gold.  I have 4 themes my users can select from.  The SP copyright appears differently on all 4 themes.  What I'd like to do is modify the SP copyright so that it's directly below the SMF copyright on all themes.

How is this accomplished...without causing any issues to the page load time script?

Hi there!

after I upgraded my forum to 2.0, I re-installed simple portal, with no errors at all. However the portal is showing but on the top menu the "forum" tab is missing. The only way to access to the form is to click on the link tree below the main menu.

As far as I can see, simple portal is installed correctly and it's working 100% with all it's features which were working before the upgrade... The only this is missing is the way to access to the Forum...! Any idea???

Many thanks for your help...!

Ok, I just upgraded to 2.0 gold.  And I installed Simple Portal 2.3.3.  Any idea why in my left column a block for recent images is showing the images in full size?  On my old 1.1.14 forum it would resize them based on the width of the left column.

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

Installed on 2.0 final, got no errors and ran a couple edits and moving around the blocks and encountered no error in log. However, when I try to add a new block, it is not showing what it should. It's basically blank with the comfirmation button.

Additional info is that I upgraded from rc3 to 2.0. Did not uninstall any mods, but reinstalled most mods and worked well except for this one. Gave me a duplicate database entry error and browser through simpleportal.net that I could bypass the insall2.php database file which I did.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

You may have to uninstall SP and ftp into your files and delete the Folders and files that SP installed ... then run then upload sp again and install it again ....

I had the same thing happen to me when i forgot to uninstall SP during the rc2 to rc3 upgrade .....

Who are you referring to? Sorry, there were a couple issues from other members above my post that you may be referring to?

Ok, it seems that with SMF 2.0, if you make a block to display recent image attachments it will only display them as they are on your forum.  So, either full size (if you have attachments set like that) or thumbnails if your attachments are set like that.

I used to like how Simple Portal would shrink these down to fit in the block size allowed because I like images to show bigger on the forum itself.  Anyway to do that now?
