"Quality never really fades away"..or wait, that was beauty or something wasn't it :P

But serizli, I like 'em cool and I like 'em classy 2. ;D

Antechinus

Oh I'm all for quality, and it can be from any era. The thing is that those old themes don't appeal to me at all. It's largely to do with the palette. They give the feeling of sitting in a rubbish dump on a cold, grey day: thoroughly dismal.

Of course, I'm the sort of bloke who likes Art Deco and thinks Bauhaus is crap. ;D

I agree that in terms of design in general Babylon is a classic. Not sure about the others.

Aleksi "Lex" Kilpinen

Many on my forum wants Babylon to be supported, just like Core and Curve - and it seems to me that many here would like to see that too...

ehh babylon and almost all the old themes are squares with tables that are so pre web 2.0

Web 2.0 is nothing but a fancy word...

i want it to be available for smf 2.0 too, i really like it, with it's special classic view.

It doesn't have to be in tables, its a look like every theme so the coding could/should be more semantic correct. Which is what I aim for though.

Not sure about the RC3 version, haven't looked at it yet.

still I love babylon theme... for me it is almost perfect.

I just wanted to say I've been very happy with the 2.0 gold release.  Its quality and the fact that it was even released AT ALL have renewed my faith in the SMF project, and I intend to purchase a charter membership.  I would encourage others to do the same.
