alex unlimitted is a marketing term used by decietful hosts to intice gullable and new users to use there service, even google does not have unlimitted space, nor facebook, they have alot of space yes but not unlimitted.  Ok you say there unlimmited so why do they limit you to 1gb:

QuotePersonal Image\Video Galleries: Personal galleries are limited to 1GB of disk space for images and videos.
* Flash Arcades:  Flash arcade sites are limited to 1GB of disk space for the game files.

they also state that if you use too much bandwidth they will canncel your account

Quote2. High Resource Usage Policy

Resources are defined as bandwidth and/or processor utilization. x10Hosting may implement the following policy to its sole discretion: When a website is found to be monopolizing the resources available x10Hosting, reserves the right to suspend that site immediately. This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers. Customers may be offered an option whereby x10Hosting continues hosting the website for an additional fee.

Wait how can you monopolise the bandwidth when its unlimitted

There is no such thing as unlimited services...

Disk space costs money, as in a hard drive to store things on costs money... And they need to get replaced fairly often in servers because of high use.

Network providers like ATT and Level3 charge us for every Gbit of transfer going through the server... Again, not cheap.

The server itself costs money, the power to run it costs money, the building to house the server in costs money, and all of these are continuing costs.

In order to be THAT cheap they are simply filling a server beyond capacity in order to cover their costs. This is overselling...

If they are free and doing that, that's stupid... they'll be broke one way or another sooner or later.

I was able to upload a few 2.0 specific themes and this corrected all issues - including direct links to threads (on the home page), and even corrected the news feed from SMF.  Weird - but all seems well now.

Very odd that the default theme was broken, and had bad links - but by uploading new themes for 2.0 was able to get everything back as it should be.

Thanks

Fixed this issue myself.
