Thanks a lot for this. I still have another issue. The first banner I placed by the right corner of my site is hanging. I want to be able to push it downwards. You can have a look at http://www.lovejist.com to see what I mean.

Thanks

vbgamer45

You can put <br> tags to move it down at the top of the code for that area.

That would make sense.
you guessed right bro... the errors were caused by SimpleAds mod which I previously installed....

I visited the support thread but it seems dead....so, I've been able to fix the errors in Subs.php but tried also to fix Load.php to no success....

I removed

update_ad_impressions()

from Subs.php to get it fixed....

I then searched for

template_ad_position()

in Load.php so I can remove it, but found nothing....

I know this is not the support thread of SimpleAds mod, but if I can help here, I'd be really grateful....

Try searching without that last bracket. So leave the function open.

thanks for dropping-by....I just tried that but got no results....

or, should I attach the file here?

von COLLINZO

thanks @vbgamer45 and Yoshi for coming to my aid....

I just fixed it successfully by editing all the files modified by SimpleAds mod....using the Parse option for 2.0.5....

now I can fully utilize Ad Management mod....thanks alot

I am just testing an upgrade from smf v1.x to v2.0.5.  The upgrade went smooth.

I started implementing mods that I have running on my active v1.1.18 site. One mod is Ad Management v2.3 and it runs very well on v1.1.18.

The version I have installed is the latest 3.1 for smf 2.0 and I am running into some inconsistencies that I hope you can help me with.

Simple tests with just an icon using HTML have shown the following setting do not work:
Board Index (not sure where this supposed to show)
Welcome area
Right Tower on every page: sometimes show and then disappears. Sometimes drilling down through a board the icon is there. I can back up and do the process again and the icon will be there. If I use the navigation links to back up, the icon may or may not appear.

I hate to say "sometimes" or "may or may not" to a programmer, being one myself it drives me crazy when I hear it from a customer... sorry, but this selection is extremely inconsistent.

I tested the same with the left tower and it works just fine.

Let me know what I might be doing wrong and I'll get it changed.

Thanks in advance.

It depends a lot on the theme you are using. If you are using the default theme it shoudl appear it all spots if it is a custom theme all the edits need to be there in order to function correctly.

I have left everything default.  I verified the default theme is being used.

A lot more testing revealed that it seems to be browser dependent.  Most of my work has been in Fire Fox.  They seem to display in IE and chrome but have to flush the cache or reload the page lot to get the changes to appear. I did get FF to display but again after several page reloads.

I guess we're OK... just different.

Thanks for the reply.

Easy option setting while you are adding a advert in the admin settings
