Thanks to all who develop SMF.  Upgraded 2.1 RC 3 to 2.1.1, all went very well.

I do with the mobile version showed our avatars.

Arantor

The main issue with avatars on mobile is that mobile is much smaller, and the intent is to maximise the amount of space given to content.

Antechinus

It's easy to change, to suit personal preference. Minor CSS edits, really.

NightWolve

I didn't expect the new 2.1 core to move out of RC this year, was thinking of assessing XenForo at some point, so cool that this is finally ready for live environments! The upgrade went mostly OK, although the conversion from avatar linkage to static files gave me some trouble which means non-working links that were used externally. A few other hiccups I can work around, but the real work is porting all the custom stuff I've done over the years which I dreaded...

Anyway, thanks to the team for getting this out there!

Ricky.

Nice to see finally SMF 2.1.x moving.

Just wondering, looks like if I am using 2.0.19 I can't use the large upgrade to 2.1.1???
Do I really need to do a full install?

You can use the large upgrade 2.1.1. package. You do not need to do a full install, but an upgrade. Please see this link on how to upgrade your forum.
