I dont know if anyone sees it
but also in this forum's stats center i get that green bar
it only does expand after a second,

which doesnt happen with my forum

Tristan Perry

The green bar is a new feature of SMF... all the examples you've given are meant to happen like that.

well nice new feature but it doesn't work well at all....

If i press the button and after half an hour its still not loaded... i suppose something is wrong

Check if you're getting any javascript errors.
The indicator wouldn't break anything, the errors would exist whether it was there or not.
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

Inflame

No javascript errors

the problem is the caching, my friend (webstie designer) says

So maybe someone got a sulution for that, cos i dont have a clue how the caching things work....

Not cool, again a new bug found, this time in Babylon

Its pretty simular to the once i found before,

I get this when i press Quote, normally the post i quote appears at the buttom at Quick-Reply, not this green bar shows up again

Green bar also found in:
Stats center with expanding month, with Babylon and Default
Message with editting with quick-edit button in Babylon and Default

Already did:
Reup Sources map
Reup all theme files

I get the same exact error.  Its a pain in the butt too

Come on lad, what do you help with this,

I know its something which is new, but as long as new stuff doesn't work, its a bug

and I want to have it fixed, and there are people which can help me, and now also Littleone, so comeone, someone needs to know whats wrong.

and those ajax "moments" aren't moments, those take ages without working

so can someone help me...  ??? ::)

TheGamer

It's not SMFs fault. Its something on your end, because on our [everyone else's] computers, its not ages, it is, infact 'moments'.

So there is still somewhere a code which might need to be checked on my forum... simple as that.

I appologize, I thought it was something the matter with your computer, not your forum. I registered on your site, and found it did the same for me. Reupload your javascript files.

Can you be more specific?  Which files?

Hello and congratulations for this new release. I had just made a site with little to no content at all (just some boards configured) so i thought why not give a try to 1.1 RC3 and utf8 support?

The page is in greek and i deliberately wrote a message with all the greek characters to see if the conversion was going to work. First i tried the smf way with the intructions in the manual. It was a disaster! The whole board was full of question marks!

But i tried something else (tested localy with little success in the past and yabbse!).
I exported the database, loaded it in microsoft word (yes you heared correctly!) and chose that the text was in utf-8. Next i went to tools->fix broken text and choosed greek as the languange. The text was now perfectly readable. Made some replacing of latin1 words to utf8 and imported the db again.

Then upgraded with rc3 and select the utf8 lang as the default, and voila, everything is perfect. Or is it? Well almost. The only problem is that the last character in the subject of the latest message (statistics area on boardindex) shows as a question mark. This is the case no matter what this character is. So i suppose this is a bug of smf. Take a look to this screenshot :

Can this be corrected? In the final 1.1 maybe? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Compuart

Technically, your forum isn't in UTF-8 mode yet. Therefor the UTF-8 string manipulation functions aren't being used and some characters might be cut off at the wrong byte.

Btw, the conversion was tested on multiple greek boards, so converting should've worked, unless the character set configured for the conversion wasn't set properly.

script.js, which should be reuploaded to Themes/default or whatever theme you're using.

Nope didnt fix it.  When I click on the little error image on the bottom left of IE it says "Error: Object required" and it say its on line 30

TheGamer

If you have an un-modded forum, you could just reupload all of your sources and theme files.
