Upgrade went well.. still having that darn cookie problem though.. =o\  I click always stay logged in and when I close and reopen.. I'm signed out.. =o\ oh well.. guess people will have to deal until this is sorted out.. unless there's something else I need to change???

Try turning on "META refresh" for now in Feature and Settings.

Did you actually wait that long to try again?  Login is time limited.

The same problem for me, as said by sachin,

It has nothing to do with any SQL changes. I don't know what the problem is but this isn't the thread for talking about bugs, we have a whole board for that.

I upgraded from YaBB SE 1.55 (or whatever it was!) to the SMF RC1 and it was extremely smooth.  My forum users (160 of them) are all extremely pleased with the new functionality and I have actually had comments about the improved speed as well.

Your software goes from strength to strength... thank you so much!

Wow, not a whole lot different really but my theme stayed in place which I love.

Also, the little new features I have actually seen are nice, and the admin center is a little friendlier, too.

Excellent. Now I just need a good YaBB 1 Gold - SP 1.3.1 converter for a site I visit frequently so I can convince them to move to simple machines (no, I can't convince them to convert to YaBB SE first, unfortunately).

Keep up the outstanding work!!

Room11

The PhpBB converter worked really smooth...

I had a forum on sourceforge (for product support) and that was using PhpBB 2.0.10
I had a it of trouble moving the database to a new host - in the end all I got was a completely broken installation with only the posts and the users in the right place...

Anyway - the converter thankfully did not convert any settings - so the boards went up real smooth 8)

The software is getting really great - and the last time I tried SMF was beta 5 which is sooo buggy compared to RC1

Great work guys! ;D

Lots of bugs were fixed between beta 5 and RC 1.

I know that, but I would not describe it as buggy. ???

David

If you relied on one of the features that had a bug then I could see it being considered as buggy. :P
