Nao, the problems happen when I try to install the aeva media mod. And it refers to aeva media database tables / columns that are not in place.
When trying installing the necessary database tables manually with db_aeva.php then I get the message that it installed the tables etc, but it actually didn't.

I'd like to do it manually directly in phpadmin but I don't no the sql to use to insert these tables. Can you help me with it please?

reo4ua

as best i can tell, the permissions are set properly for the membergroup.

calvinhobbes

thanks mate.

lol alternate dimension ? i was asking if this was made previously for the Xoops CMS or is a fork of some image gallery made for Xoops. Lot of $xoops variables in the code.

@all> SVN revision 221 adds support for ImageMagick resizing (bypassing IMagick and MagickWand altogether). It's only tested with JPG. Anyone interested in testing the new feature...? (You just need to select ImageMagick in the admin settings when it comes to "Image handler".)

@angelotus> As I said -- not an Aeva Media issue. Your SMF must be corrupted or something.

@galjoen> I do not support external packages (except for Pretty URLs). Watermarking will be added in the future to Foxy (that's the plan.)

No, no.
When installing AM, the script will check whether the tables are installed. If not, it will try installing them.
As far as I can see, the whole process is screwed by your SMF not giving the correct database prefix.

You'll have to fix it on your side. Ask on the general support sections, rather than here.

There is no single "$xoops" variable in Aeva Media. Are you okay...??

Heck, I've never heard about "xoops" before.

Aeva Media is based upon both "Aeva" (auto-embedder written for SMF) and "SMF Media Gallery" (also written from scratch for SMF.) No code was taken from anywhere else, except when indicated inside the source code in comments.

@lorenzo> Let it be made very clear that I don't "get" custom fields. I've only worked on them once, to add a feature for Foxy! which I needed, and even then, I never used that feature myself. So you won't see me do much changes in that area...

@warlock> Unseen sucks, too. The only way to have the number of unseen items show up on every page was to cache it. The cache isn't always updated. Hence issues.

Ok Nao, so how can it be that all necessary tables are installed, except for aeva_fields table?

Hi,

I just uploaded 2 pdf files to the same general album.  Once I log out, I am unable to view or download one of them.  When I click on its thumbnail it throws me out to the welcome page of the forum, and says that I don't have the permission to view the album.  However, I can get this file via its direct link (which means there is no problem with the file) and I can view/download the second pdf file on the same album (which means I have the permission to view the album).  I can also freely moderate the file that causes me trouble: I can move, edit or delete it; just cannot view by clicking on its thumbnail..!

Any advice?

The icon name thing isn't a bug at all... And even if the filenames sound strange to you, they don't prevent the files from showing up at all. I use that on my site you know...

Yes, I'm already trying it!

Ok, no probs!! ;)
Only... it's strange that you don't use 'em... for example if you have to add a dropdown menu to specify the license of images, or many other examples...

Only this one? It uses the same instructions as the other tables really... Are you using SMF1 or 2? Is smf_aeva_field_data created?

Nao: Yeah it does - SMF's standard DB backup script doesn't escape field names... so the CREATE TABLE fails on a backup restoration.
I just checked the list of reserved words, and "type" isn't in them. I figure you meant "limit"? (In addition to "desc".)

Oh... :-/
Will fix, then.
SVN rev 222

! Renamed fields aeva_quotas.limit and aeva_fields.desc to, respectively, aeva_quotas.quota and aeva_fields.description, in order to avoid SMF crashes when restoring a backup. Would appreciate if you could test the quota and custom fields features to see if they still work. (db_aeva.php, Aeva-Admin.php, Aeva-Subs.php)
! Don't show "ImageMagick" twice in the admin About area. (Aeva-Media.php)

Nope.  That was it.  Had SMF set but not the mod itself.

Thanks!

Yes, all works fine! ;)

P.S.: To test ImageMagik do I need to upload a new image? Anyway do you think it's better to use ImageMagik or GD2?
