AEVA Media is one of the greatest mods created for SMF! I've used it since it was called SMF-Media Gallery version 1.20? This is one of the mods that made me change from phpBB to SMF!

What will you do if I give up on SMF and port AeMe to phpBB instead?

As for rounded edges... Are you using Opera 10.5x? Just delete all border-radius lines in am.css!

I would probably look at other forum softwares, phpBB doesn't have what I currently need. The things I love about SMF are; SSI, AeMe and "Downloads System"

And thanks for the tip about am.css and infact I am using Opera 10.50.

And by the way I hate installing mods for phpBB.

Read the FAQ he suggested and make the need changes to the file permissions and let us know how it goes.

You need to learn how to use permissions and chmod. You don't type in 4 digits -- you type in 3.  You don't use 777 except where and why you understand that you absolutely need to, and what the consequences are. Try 755 first. Read my sig FAQs > Proper Permissions.

Actually... permissions on Unixish systems historically were 4 digits, not 3. Leaving aside for the moment that using 0 on its own indicates an octal number in most languages (777 != 0777 in PHP), the first digit is actually a "sticky bit", historically relating to where program data should be retained in memory, but is mostly ignored/obsolete today on files. It is however, very relevant on folders - from Wikipedia:

The most common use of the sticky bit today is on directories. When the sticky bit is set, only the item's owner, the directory's owner, or the superuser can rename or delete files. Without the sticky bit set, any user with write and execute permissions for the directory can rename or delete contained files, regardless of owner. Typically this is set on the /tmp directory to prevent ordinary users from deleting or moving other users' files. This feature was introduced in 4.3BSD in 1986 and today it is found in most modern Unix systems.

SSI can be done via code for any forum software... It's the idea.
Download system -- there's one in AeMe. Just use the filestack listing type

Well, my girlfriend made me a delicious Carbonnade Flammande for my birthday. So all's good!

but once they are settled, the view count for embed mp3s is stuck on zero...

Ah, yes... I completely forgot about embedded mp3s. Oops.

I still don't know why sometimes SMF creates 0-byte files instead of folders like this on some servers (not all, of course.)
The only way to get rid of the issue would be to create folders manually and copy all files, one by one, into them, and it would be a pain for me to do.

If someone finds out about the 0-byte files, please share!

I previously had SMF Gallery PRO installed on 1.1.11 - is there anyway I can install this mod and convert my previous installation to it? I dont want to lose my exisiting gallery but dont really want to go back to SMF gallery PRO.

Yes indeed, but this issue seems to be related somehow to SMF 2.0 because after getting AeMe working I've installed Ajaxchat mod, for 2.0 RC3, and the history seems to be repeated: some folders was created as 0-byte files.

I hadn't problems like this with SMF v1.x

Nao is saying he does not know ASL at all. When you know something well you are familiar with it, when you are not familiar, you are "far from familiar", which "remote" is another way of saying.
