Hi,

please take a look at the image in attachment. Both were taken at the same gallery content.
The upper part is a screenshot of the user album view option (url: ...&sa=vua).
The lower part is a screenshot of the normal home index view.

As you can see the home view doesn't display any number of containing items if they are in sub-albums.

Is it possible to adjust this and to display the subalbums like they are done in user album view?  (so actually: is it possible to clone the album listing like the user album view? If yes, what do I need to do?)

Thanks a bunch!

Note: the setting 'Show sub-albums on index' is set to yes, but after some testing I found that it only affects the user album view.

or, since he has stopped work on aeva, you could modify your installation to use whatever weighting system you think should be used.

This is my first experience doing a mod on SM. Unfortunately it did not go well. There is no menu items on the board. I have gone over each instruction with great detail and time and read all docs and still no go.

I have experience in installing hundreds of mods on other forums and have custom PHP programming experience in fixing and adding to mods. I admit I am not familiar with SM.

THis is the first mod ever I was not able to get to run. Any ideas would be appreciated, I tried clearing the cache, etc. and all suggestions. I might just back track today and remove the code.

I really enjoy this mod, even though it took me over an hour to install it, it was totally worth it. BUT! I am having one slight issue. Every time i post a youtube video link in the thread, it shows 2 videos (duplicate) instead of just the one. I would greatly appreciate any help on this, Thanks!

Using SMF 2.0 RC3

YogiBear

Welcome to SMF macfive,

Try uninstalling, deleting, then uploading a fresh copy and installing. Tip : make sure you click each manoeuvre only the once or you could end up with a double installation. I had a field missing once but doing this cured it.

PPHK,

Are you using the URL or the html? Try posting some text above the Youtube link to see if this works better. Also, make sure you're using 1.3 or better still 1.3a as Nao did add some fixes.

Isn't that a YouTube related error rather than a mod related error? Just a guess, if this happens to be a YouTube or similar video sharing site related embed, I would check the settings on the host site.

???  Nao?

His only post after my comment was to try and help Mattek.

BTW: Mattek, I believe that the embeds allowed per page is set in the aeva admin...

Macfive,
you did not indicate what version of the mod nor what version of smf you are running. The assistance we can provide really depends on knowing as much as you can tell us about the problem, including that information.

Hi andrew,

This has come up a few times.

When you post the link are you using the URL or the html?

Does posting some text above the link 'cure' it?

Are you using SMF 1.1.11 and if so when exactly did you install the security upgrade patch? Can you post the Youtube code as it appears on your forum here?

Sorry about so many questions.

Many thanks for your very quick reply.

When posting the link I am using the URL, for example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP2WFQfWXS8 [nofollow].  I am using SMF 2.0 RC3.  Basically within SMF Media Gallery I am using the "Or Embed URL (remote videos)" area to post the above URL in it and clicking post.

Here is a test URL to see what I mean on my site,
http://www.hl-ac.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=157 [nofollow]

EDIT: I think it's something to do with the auto embedding
Administration Center » Auto-Embedding » Configuration

It seems to work when I disabled it, then enabled it but changed all settings to 'no'  thats in red...... ummm

YogiBear

Ah right, does posting any text above the link make any difference?
