The only reason I'd recommend Aeva at this stage is not because it's the best, but because it's the least worst. There are some major architectural issues that won't ever be addressed, for example.

MorrisGuy

Hi, Just wondering if anyone could help me. Used to use Aeva Media fine but been getting this problem last few months.

Any picture now uploaded gets no thumbnail but is still viewable when enlarging it. But clicking it to see full size and it just wont appear.

You can try for your selfs @ hxxp:www.ultrastunting.com/index.php?action=mgallery [nonactive]

Be thank full for any help given.

MorrisGuy

Any help on this, people still asking me about it and i have no idea how to fix it.

Have you tried the "Regenerate thumbnails" option thats in the maintenance section of Aeva in the back end ?

Maybe also run the "Find errors" option as well ?

MorrisGuy

Regenerate thumbnails made it even worse, Now they all have that same basic thumbnail.

And no error's were found.

Anything else i could try?

YouTube videos are no longer working for me with this mod. Other video sites such as Daily Motion are still working. Has this been anybody else's experience? And now what to do?

Kindred

change your youtube urls to use http instead of https or update your avea-sites file (answered several dozen times in this thread)

Thanks Kindred for the support!

Would this be the section of code from Subs-Aeva-Sites.php that needs to be copied and then added using https:?

array(
      'id' => 'ytp',
      'title' => 'YouTube (Playlists)',
      'website' => 'http://www.youtube.com',
      'type' => 'pop',
      // http://uk.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=7262E1895FA61B39
      'pattern' => 'http://(?:(?:www|[a-z]{2})\.)?youtube\.com/[^"]*?(?:[&/?;]|&)(?:id=|p=|p/)([0-9a-f]{16})',
      'movie' => 'http://www.youtube.com/p/$2&rel=0&fs=1',
      'size' => array(480, 385),
      'ui-height' => 25,
      'fix-html-pattern' => '<object [^>]*><param name="movie" value="$1" />.*?</object>',
   ),

Arantor

Try changing the http:// part to https?:// in the pattern entry, though that will only fix playlists.

Can I manually set the permissions prior to install so I don't have to enter my FTP information? For some reason when I enter my FTP info for any mod and click install it gives me an "Internal Service Error.. So I would like to avoid that.

Kindred

You need to talk to your host about that. It would seem that they do not allow 777/666 chmod....  So you need to find out form them what permissions the files would need to be written to by the php user/script.

It is not working for everyone. I tried to work this workaround last year for a few days without success. https://www.youtube has problem in my forum because it is taking it as 2 words or something. I think the "." is problem here. Cant remember the details but it is just not working for me

Storman™

Underneath each YouTube video there is a tab that says "Share". Are you using the "Share this link" url from there or the one at the top of the whole page ?
