Charter Membership

I have been looking into getting charter membership, and i am almost convinced. i like the fact i get new releases and support and all that, but im not sure that its worth the money.
what do other charter members have to say about their experience as charter members?
what is so good about charter membership that keeps you coming back?
what other features do you utilize a lot?

I like charter members in a few diffrent ways

1) Your donating/supporting to one of the best forum softwares around
2) I get to help report bugs for SMF2.0 and be fixed for future releases
3) Advanced ticket support and installations of SMF so if I'm ever busy I don't have to install it

If you are becoming a charter member just to upgrade your forums to SMF2 its honestly not worth it considering there are only a few mods and no themes.

But as my final note I will say it ws worth it

quite honestly, i dont use many mods. the only ones i do use, i dont actually need, its just something that makes doing something easier, like the Karma applaud only. the only mod i actually really need is the ad management mod or equivalent.

i like the idea of helping and supporting SMF, because it was the first forum software i ever used and is the only.

so i think if i can convince my parents to pay for it, i will get charter.

If your upgrading for just the 2.0 beta, then the new policy requires that you wait a week (I think it was) but personally... you get to try out cutting edge software and for many, thats an extremely trilling experience. And you ARE supporting the development of SMF. More beer and donuts for the developers (lol j/k)

I am very happy with charter membership. This is great. You get Private support and Chit Chat Board access and advance HelpDesk support which is handled by Support Specialists. You also get Advance Betas and not only that, you are helping SMF to grow bigger.

yea, all the things you get are amazing! i just know i am going to take full advantage of support, lol. and yea, you have to be a charter member for a week to get the release, which is going to kill me. but im going to help SMF get bigger.

The developers don't really see the money. The income goes to the bills.

has the payment cleared your paypal yet?

if not, you will need to wait for it to.  If it HAS, please email [email protected] with the transaction ID so they can look into it.  There was a glitch with the paid subscriptions mod last week and it may have caused this.

Somehow SMF didn't get notified that you paid - it just said "Pending Payment" for your subscription.

Paypal does show that the payment has been received, so I will update your subscription momentarily

Hello I'm new here to . I was invited to a forum called  Restore The Republic Forum . I have a website . and wanted to use SM as my forum server . We had a forum server ,well we have a forum server call PHPbb . the problem we have with PHPBB is the keeping the porno people out . My question is . Is there any problems with the porno people on this site . how is the customer service on this site . We wouldn't mind paying to have this service if the Customer service is good .
