SMF Media Gallery (SMG) - 2.0.5 is out! (December 2)

I installed the latest version of this mod and everything was going great...I got several pictures uploaded and then got the same blasted message saying upload directory is not writable.  Why does it let me upload a small amount of pictures and then decide that the directory isn't writable.   This is so frustrating!  Which directory/directories is the upload directory for the albums?

Make sure /mgal_data and all the sub-directories are 777.

can you add support for embeded videos from gametrailers.com ??

ummm....  why?   This is a gallery function. You don't embed videos from others sites in your site's gallery

Well to an extent it supports YouTube, GoogleVideo etc...So I may add it although I use the code from Karl's Auto Embed Video/Audio clips mod.

When creating an account the "Icon" allows full size images to be displayed on the Gallery Albums list, it doesn't seem to resize them.
This is noticeable when a New User uploads a large image to their account.

Have you solved this problem.

Thats not a problem, its sort of intentional.
The uploader is supposed to upload resized images.

I tried to make the Dir_1 subdirectory 777 but I get message that the operation is not permitted.  Uploading works for about 10 pics and then I get the message about the upload directory not being writable.  How do I get back the ability to upload pics if the server won't let me chmod the mgal_data subdirectories to 777?

Whats the full path till Dir_1 and whats the album's name?

Hmmm...for some reason I'm able to upload pics again....I hope my luck continues....

I'm thinking about installing smf mediagallery  1.0.2. My forum is smf 1.1.6. I uploaded the package and the photo shows the test. Since some are blank I wanted to see it will work before I try to install it. Thanks for your help.

Karl's mod does currently support gametrailers. I have it installed.

Hi. Got stuck converting SMF Gallery 1.9 using mgconverter.php.

First, I couldn't reach the file on my server, so I temporarily renamed .htaccess to .htaccess-backup. It shall work.

After that, I run the converter, but didn't pass thru "recount statistics".

Nothing but a "Back" link. No chances to "Finish"?

ps.: Actually, SMF Media Gallery is working great on my server right now. Just didn't "finished" the converter. Is there a problem?

I tried the converter.

Everything went fine untill I came to Recount statistics.
I have this error:

@Nascar and @softcore, try running the recount function from Admin > Gallery Maintenance, it should be all fine.

EDIT : Otherwise, it shouldn't something of a concern, the Gallery would be running fine as it is.

I tried that before I wrote the post reporting about my problem , and it didn't work.

Yes, it works fine, but the statistics are wrong.

Since it is the last recount, everything should be fine.
