SMF Media Gallery (SMG) - 2.0.5 is out! (December 2)

mmm, i am not comparing mods i am just saying i uninstalled SMF Gallery Lite to see if it make any difference to the SMF Media Gallery and it doesn't.

Cannot upload video, and i get that server image for some reason.

and i was told there is no resolution to my problem. I also think it is drastic to reinstall whole forum just for a mod.

hello,

I uninstall the old version and afther that I install the latest version. I have any error message during installation.

But when I refresh my page I the entire site not open.

I have HTTP 500 error message.

What can I do ?

Pas en français SVP, c'est un topic anglophone ici...
Les erreurs 500 sont généralement dues à des timeout du serveur. Donc il mouline trop longtemps et s'impatiente, hop, erreur interne. Ca peut aussi être dû à une boucle infinie (du code qui se rappelle lui-même). Aucun lien avec SMG, en tout cas... C'est avec ton hébergeur que tu dois régler ça !

yes but the forum work correctly and when I uninstall and afther install the latest version I have this error. I hope that have a "Lien" with SMG

OK here how I managed it.

I bought SMF Gallery Pro, cause it is mature, stable and implements smoothly with SMF.

I am using SMG in order to handle music and flv files and RC2 seems to be the more stable and error free version ever.

These two mods CAUSE NO ERRORS one to another.

I dont like the fact that the link to a file has a getid extension, cause it may cause potential problems with linking.

So far, I think that SMG is a most needed mod if someone would like to be able to handle videos and music files in his site...

when i run the mgconverter_sgl.php file, a blank page is opened. how do i convert the gallery to mgallery?

SMF Gallery Pro does it as well, as I've heard. Of course it requires you to buy yet another module, for a total of $80, but it probably works better than SMG. Our mod is still very young. Of course, it has done some considerable progress since I came onboard and the emulation between Dragooon and I made us add a lot of new features

Just don't wait for anything from us in the video/audio area. We implement what we want to implement. Currently, we think there are many other priorities to work on.

Euh... Bon ben désinstalle... Ou sinon réinstalle SMF.
De toute manière juste une chose à signaler : SMG n'applique pas de changements à l'index, donc à moins que ton bidule ne soit fortement moddé (genre affichage des images de la galerie sur l'index), il n'y a aucune raison que l'index plante...

J'avais TinyPortal installé puis avec ça j'affichais les images du SMG dans le portal. La raison est là mais tu as l'air pas très "cool" lol comme si ça t'ennuyait  que je poste mon "soucis" ici. Si tu relis les messages une fois en haut lorsque tu me l'a dit directement j'ai  réécrit en anglais et tu m'a re répondu en français d'ou j'ai continué en français  . C'est logique.

+ j'ai pas dit que tu n'étais pas cool. (Juste l'air, une impression). 

Soite on va pas en faire un ... je sais pas quoi  .

No it's not. If you don't want to fit in, then why should we work on your stuff?

Anyway: your problem is not due to SMG. It is due to how poor your server is. Ask your host for more CPU power. Or it is due to conflicting mods -- which is why I asked you to try reinstalling SMF from scratch.

is there a way to get the recent video added thumbs to show up on the front page. Is there a piece of code I can let's say remove the smf gallery .. include in the index.template.php to do this ?

then there are a few db errors as well, when i head to find errors:

To fix your "Find errors" problem, run Regenerate thumbnails and previews.

What task do you run when getting that error?

first i did the check for errors and got attachment one

then i checked for extra files, none found.

then i go to recount totals and get attachment 2

that is all i see to correct..
