SMF Media Gallery (SMG) - 2.0.5 is out! (December 2)

I didn't try it out, as I'm using SMG in a 2.0 beta 4 forum version. To me it looks like it just adds it to the buttom or top, but i'm not sure. I can't find the place in the code where the modder wants people to add his code.

Ah, I wouldn't mind recent uploads being displayed at the bottom above the info center..

In the way that i got around 50 mails from Simple Machines saying "There's a war going on at Simple Machines. Click here to continue", yeah. But besides that, no.

Of course it was edited later to remove the threat but it's still been applied.

Here's what I said back then:

"I think a nice feature would be that you f** apologize for your behavior or I'm quitting SMG development for good!"

Never got an apology from @sh, and never got the SMF Team to take any action against him. So, they do not care much about important community members getting insulted by lamers.

I may not be half as nice a person as Karl is, but I worked just as much as he did on SMF. When he called it quits and definitively left the community (for 6 weeks), everyone was crying and speaking like he was a great hero who died on the battlefield. Now, me, complaining about how I'm treated? Well, funny story... Nobody cares. I won't forget. So, as such, I did not see any further reason to involve myself in a community that doesn't care.

- I'm keeping my positions on SMG and Aeva, and as a beta tester, but I'm no longer doing any work that could be qualified as "for the community".
- I'm only working for myself and my own pleasure.
- If I find a bug in SMF and it's too big/annoying to let go, then I'll report it. That's pretty much it.

Dragoon is waiting for 2.0 rc1. We will wait for new version now.

1.5.3 totally supports RC 1, RC 1 compatibility issues were fixed in it. I'm going to release 1.5.4 maybe this weekend.

actually i know this, but i don't know why are you waiting for. As I this was only an estimate =)

I ask this because i am interested ftp upload and aeva fix.
In fact, we could see the package svn aeva well as you do not? =)

SMG SVN is not public..nor I'm planning on making it.

1.5.4 is in branches, 1.6 is in trunk(Not that it matters to you). I'm only waiting for this weekend so that I can get some time to do some final testing and update the stuff. FTP upload will be in 1.6, not in 1.5.4.

Finally, after adding .htaccess instruction it keeps on hanging when uploading files i have to click on "upload" each some minutes

Nah Nao, I just think it was something I didn't want to get involved in.

But it's sad you leave Dragoon and all the other of us because of one single attack. I'm sure a lot don't care, but there's also a lot that DO care.

I'm not taking side here, but concider this: If Simple Machines should live up to their own rules of this forum, you and others should have been banned, right or wrong.

Think of it, no matter how right you were in your own case; if you had a guy at noisen.com that wouldn't stop posting, even if you asked him to, you would surely ban the guy from your forum at some point.

None of you would stop in that fight, even you were told to! You have to respect what a moderator says, no matter how right you are. If people had no respect for you at Noisen, what would you do?

Edit: I really don't want to discuss the matter here, but will be willing to answer in another forum.

I've put the fight behind me really. Hard for me to stay mad about anything for any length of time. I really don't think it's worth bringing back up again. If nao wants to move on to other things, that's fine. However i don't believe he should do so based on this incident. Just one loudmouthed mole that wouldn't know up from down if he fell off his balcony.
No one here is getting paid. That's why we're using smf... the free part. Nao's help with this mod has been very helpful to me and others. It would be a shame if he moves on, but if he does, I think it should be for other reasons.
