Hello,
sorry for my bad english.

SMF 2.0 RC1

when I click in "apply mod", my browser (IE, FireFox, Chrome) don't finish the job.
I wait...and wait...and wait.......but nothing happens.

I think the problem is during the execution of db_mgallery.php.

Before this problem I've another error.
It was unable to create the tables in my DB.
So I created manually by export/import sql from another smf forum when it works fine.

my question:
the "db_mgallery.php" file works only into the DB?
if yes......can you post only the sql code?

Install manually. After you copy/modify the appropriate files. Run db_mgallery.php from your browser.

Nice mod, love to play with it, but just two simple questions.
1 - Is there a help file available, i can only find this topic, but i do not think this is very readable when i look for and answer.
2 - While setting the permissions for my usergroups the tekst before the checkboxes is nog there, see screenshot, so it is is a bit difficult to set everything okay.

2 - While setting the permissions for my usergroups the tekst before the checkboxes is nog there, see screenshot, so it is is a bit difficult to set everything okay.

You have to make a copy of MGallery.english.php and rename the copy to MGallery.dutch.php. Check that the appropriate texts in Modifications.english.php are also translated to Dutch in the Modifications.dutch.php file. You can find all of these files in Themes/default/languages/

When ever I typed something in the description box, it shows up with starting and ending html tags.
For instance, my first sentence shows this at the beginning of it

and then ends with the ending paragraph tag,

I didn't use any html tags so why do they keep showing up?

Call me stupid but I have looked and looked for the coppermine convertor and can't find it  Does it still exist because I want to convert to SMG, after running some trials I'm extremely impressed with it!

May I ask how you solved your permission issues when trying to create a gallery? I'm having the same issues. I have worked around it by downgrading to 1.5.4, but I would like to use the latest version.

I think my problem all stemmed from the fact that for some reason I lost the ability to change some permissions on my files in cpanel.
I "think" I know what caused that problem but since I'm not absolutely sure, I don't want to place any blame.
In any event, even though my files showed the right permission, I was getting an error saying they weren't chmodded right.
I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it a couple times and had no luck.
When I uninstalled it, I didn't remove the files that didn't remove themselves with the uninstall.
So after doing this a couple times, I decided to manually remove anything that pertained to this mod and then try reinstalling it.
When I did, my mgal_data folder didn't have the right permission and this time I couldn't change it to all 7's.
I had to contact my host to fix this.
I was then able to change my permissions but I still got the same chmod error.
After thinking about this for a few days, I decided to see what would happen if I once again unistalled everything and reinstalled the mod thinking that perhaps things didn't really go right on account of not being able to change some permissions and it seemed to do the trick.

Do you have any problems changing permissions on any files or folders in cpanel? If you do, you might have the same problem as me.
BTW, do you have any portals installed?

Ok so I went ahead with the install...now only Admins can see the Gallery button on the nav bar at the top. I chekced through the setting and made sure Privacy was set to everyone, but no dice. Any shove in the right direction would be apprciated.

Make sure permissions are correctly set for membergroups.

You can use Load Standard Language modification.

Love the mod. I have a need to add many General Albums, but I don't want the page for my media gallery to be a mile long. Is there any way to seperate the General Albums into pages? Like 1, 2, 3, 4, ..11. Maybe have it list 10 General Albums per page? If there is a way to do this, I have overlooked it.

I know, I don't understand why it does not do it for General Albums aswell. Especially since they are on the front page of the media gallery. If there is any way to fix this manually by adding in some script, I'd love to do so if someone knows how.
