I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

I understand this.

But have I messed something up that bad I will never get it to work?
I DID unistall the mod and REinstalled it on the default theme but still no luck.

And to clearify... I have issues with creating album... I have not yet come to the upload part

Dragooon

Are you sure the data directory path is correct? Check in Admin > Gallery > Settings.

buckshot

I sure think so..

if I look in the settings it is: /domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/mgal_data
And if I look in a FTP Client the path is: /domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/mgal_data

It is a Unix system so it means the actual path is /usr/home/alltkul/domains/aggma.com/public_html/forum/mgal_data

buckshot

SOLVED!

I inserted the FULL path in the settings and now it works fine!

Yes.. Thanks a lot to you guys!

But now there is just a slight matter.
The pictures gets stacked on top in a vertical row in the albums.
Not in a horizontal plane as you have on your website.

Is this something that can be altered?

Dragooon

Have you made sure to copy the mgallery folder from default theme to your theme? And that mgallery folder has all the contents like in the archive?

buckshot

Sorry!..

Now it works PERFECT!!

A great Mod guys! And most of all... GREAT support

Wasn't this problem fixed long ago? Why are we using a function to retrieve the target mgallery folder otherwise?

Just to summarize the problem I have.

I can not create any "general album" since i then get the error "This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data and mgal_data/albums is chmodded to 777 "

This is NOT a valid error since my mgal_data folder and sub folders IS set to 777.
I HAVE tried to delete the mgal_data folder and upload a new from the installation pack. Same problem.

There is NOT any mod_security enabled on my server.
The server is NOT in php safe mode.

As it looks everything is as it should. But I can not get it to work.
I have read the whole thread and it seems some people have had the same issue but there is no telling how they got it to work.

Can ANYONE help me out?

Please can you tell me if you fixed this problem and if so..HOW?? It's driving me nuts!! Many thanks

Using SMF Media Gallery Lite. How do I set it up so each member has their own folder instead of everybody's pictures being all together?

Kindred

allow users permissions to create user albums

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

Make sure that it has correct ownership. Have you checked for mod_security and safe_mode via phpinfo(Yes I've read your comments about them)? And is the data directory path correct under Admin > Gallery > Settings?

Is there any option to restrict my member to not upload images more then 1.5 M.B?

Dragooon

Admin > Gallery > Settings > Maximum file size.

Admin > Gallery > Settings > Maximum file size.

This option is controlling individual photo/item.

I want to set quota of each and every member.
means if member "x" uploaded 20 pictures of 5 MB and his quota is 5 MB too then he must have to ask to the admin for further uploading quota.

as we have seen in flicker or some other image hosting sites.

Dragooon

In SMG 2.0 it is possible on per-membergroup/per-album basis. But per-member is not possible, it'll be too much of a overkill.

Nao 尚

You could simply create a membergroup just for that user.

Which makes me think-- which membergroup is taken into account, when some user is present in TWO membergroups?
Let's say he's in membergroup "Pic Masters", which has a big quota on pics but small quota on audio/video, and in membergroup "Media Masters", which has a big quota on audio/video but small quota on pictures. Will they end up with big quotas in pics/audio/video, or something else? Lol.

All the quotas are taken into consideration, and which ever is the biggest in each field is used.
