Just put the link in [img] tags.

If it was just for me then it wouldnt be a problem but because i would like it so that users can also 'host' there images on the forum it wouldnt be practical for then to always have to add [IMG] tags when pasting the link in to another forum.

Advise your nubs to use embed and anyone else who knows how to use forums will already know they need to use img tags due to it being a standard forum functionality that isn't just limited to smf forums.

Doesnt matter i just wont bother with a gallery.

I was simply asking if it could be done or how it could be done so i could do i and i get rude comments from yourself. Which i was not aiming my question to!

So what you are saying is that, the thousands of users i know on forums when the upload an image to photobucket and they copy the direct link to there forum the sit there and go through the 10/20 or so pictures and add an IMG tag. I think not which is why Photobucket already has it built in so you copy the whole link inc IMG tags.

Also not being rude but im sure most people arent that clued up on tags and it being a standard function.

Dragooon

You can do that with a simple template edit, its nothing out of the world.

Well seeing as you run a forum, would it not be reasonable to assume your users would know the common tags? Not using the mod simply because of that would be illogical. If yer hell bent on it tho, just find the line of code that produces the direct link and add tags to it.

Thank you. I must admit im a complete noob at this though so a little guidance as to where i would look would be magical.

Thanks

It's done but in the process of checking thing out I noticed something else!

HTML embed code: <img src="http://twnb-worldofstuff.com/MGalleryItem.php?id=1063" alt="" />
Direct link: http://twnb-worldofstuff.com/MGalleryItem.php?id=1063

None of these links work!! This is the correct direct link>>  http://twnb-worldofstuff.com/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=item;id=1063

Managed to fix this problem! Mgal_data permission wan't set right

Hi there!

I was trying to find answers to my questions but with no success unfortunately. Therefore, please let me ask them here.
Is it possible to comment an album? Not only particular images, but the entire album.

Does Max files in a directory and Max size of a directory means how many pictures or KiloBytes can you put inside one album?

Thank you very much in advance.

Thank you for such a great mod.

Best regards,

Max files in a directory = How many files can there be in a directory
Max size of a directory = size in Kb

mattchewone

Dragoon can you tell me where i can find the part i need to adjust to include the IMG tags please.

Many Thanks

Matt

Absolutely a thorough well done on this Mod.
Excellent stuff.

Thank you.

OK, stupid question. I have checked everywhere and find no answer.

on thumbnails I get a "Sorry you are not allowed to view this file, Make sure you are connected to the server"

but if I click on the thumbnails, the pictures comes up and I can also use the zoom function to make it the allowed
size.

Some body want to help save what is left of my hair?

Thanks.

Try clear your browser cache.

Thanks sir, I did that and in IE I now have all red x's and in FF I have nothing.

if this makes any sense?  www.tarponspringsforums.com

Hmm, red X'es for thumbs, preview and full images are ok. Think you are going to wait on Dragooon or Nao for this one.

What did you set Max thumb width and height to?

I have changed them from 100h x100w all the way up to 500h x 500w. and makes no difference!

Thanks for the suggestions tho sir!

Just remember that when you make the changes, you have to upload new images to see if anything changed. By the way was the changes saved? Try go back and test.

Well I am not sure what I did, but I started at 500x500 and went down by 100 each time, went to maintenance and regenerated the
thumbnails, it did nothing until I got all the way down to 100x100 and regenerated them, then it worked.

I guess my next question would be does SMF settings for the thumbnails in post matter? I wouldn't really think so, but it is set to 120x120.

Just strange, but it now works.

Thanks for the prodding to try all that! I guess sometimes if you roll a rock over you might find ;D a flat side!

Akyhne

I think you may have some kind of cache feature enabled that messes things up.
