When i try and un install the mod i get the following error appearing in the log constantly..

8: Undefined index: mgallery_gallery
File: /home/enlight/public_html/ee/boards/Sources/MGallery-Admin.php
Line: 2449

No one has used the mod, except for me, i started a gallery as a test, but removed this gallery but now can't take the gallery off. I've tried checking all the maintenance things, no errors etc..

Any ideas?

PS 1.1.8 running latest mod version

Use the parser on the mod page and uninstall manually.

I am wondering if anyone has found a good way to integrate this into your forums?

I am thinking that having the "recently added" at the top of the forum Index would help catch the eye of the users and encourage more videos to be posted.

As far as I can see, when I installed this, it seems to be an entirely separate part of the site, that doesn't even have a button on the navigation menu to show it to users.

Anyone have any ideas or links to sites with something of this nature already functional?

If you have a custom theme you will have to edit your custom index.template.php for the button to be added to the menu bar. As for recent uploads, they are shown in the gallery section.

There are several modifications to show recent items on the frontpage. Here's one of them: http://smf-media.com/community/index.php?topic=602.0

Hi!  I'm currently using SMF gallery, so that's installed as well.  My forum is 1.1.8

I like the look of this one tho, so installed it.

The first image I uploaded works fine in all areas.   :D

However, for any subsequent image, whilst it seems to work for the smg code, the url code isn't working!   :o  It simply doesn't show the picture when I wrap the url in a [img]

If I post and click on the bare image link, it comes up with this error:

QuoteInternal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

As I often link to pics in my gallery from outside the forum, I'd like to be able to do this!

Any ideas?  Sorry if you've dealt with this one before, I've looked through some of these pages, but there's 167 of them!!!!

On a slightly related topic:

If I convert my current SMF gallery, will the URLs remain the same? I have a lot of externally links pointing to the URLs, and wouldn't want to break them. ::)

Another Question (sorry).

Is there anyway to get the image to show full size?  (No thumbnail).

Some info about my settings:

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.8   PHP Version: 5.2.9
FFMPEG: No
GD2: Yes bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
ImageMagick: No (IMagick: No - MagickWand: No)

Guys,

Is it possible that nobody knows/wants to answer such a simple question if somebody can comment on the whole album and not only on the particular images?  ???
This is the third time I ask, and I'm a little bit embarased because I'm forced to anoy people by asking this many times.

Please?

No...    changing software essentially means changing urls.

I've solved my problem. I had to Chown directories and stupid me did not create albums from within the apps admin panel.

Thanks anyway.
Cheers.

Except if you're using Pretty URLs and you update its filter to point to mgallery instead of gallery.  8)
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

I used the mod that allows users to see the recently added videos on the Board Index, only now there is 1 too many and it creates and entirely new row and only uses one spot :(

Is there a way to take one off ?

One to many?
Yes, if there were 1 less, there would only be one row and it wouldn't look out of place like it does.  (Look at the picture I posted)

There are two rows, only there is only 1 thumbnail in the second row.
It will ALWAYS be like that too, because it allows the 7 most recent, when the 6 most recent would fit perfectly with no second row to make it look dumb.

EDIT: it is because my theme is different I am guessing.  I just don't know what file to even look in to change it.

So how many do you want? What resolution are your users running? Are they running widescreen? Does some of them reguarly change screen size?
There's no chance for you to hit the right number of images.... well yeah, so it suits you. There's an option in the mod where you can change how many pictures are shown.

Okay, I think I located it in "Subs-Mgallery-mod.php"

But I cannot find that on my server.  I want 6, could you please tell me how to change this?

*EDIT: ahh well, I reinstalled it after editing the package.  Then I found it on the server, lol.

Cheers anyway.  A big thank you to the creators of the SMF Gallery and Mgallery.  Excellent work!

I almost learned Drupal for something just like this that would have taken me a lot more time to skin and integrate.  Thanks again.

Akyhne

Is it my mod you are using? Then uninstall the mod and delete it from your server. Unzip the mod, edit  Subs-Mgallery-mod.php line 11.

It says: $items = getMediaItems(0, 7, 'm.id_media DESC');

Change 7 to whatever you want... just concider different users have different screensize. You can't hit a number that suits everyone.

Hi,

basically this is one of the most useful mods here for SMF. I'd only like to request some modification to this mod.

First of all, the mass upload is nice to have, I'd rather welcome the choice to use either a single upload or the mass upload, controlled within the admin panel. The next one is to be able to specify the extensions allowed to be uploaded.

Not much, however, I could provide a deal. This mod lacks on a translation to German. Since I'm native, I could do this. Therefore you may think about my two requests. :D

Regards, Thomas

Akyhne

There is a german translation available

You can allow mass upload per-membergroup.
As for single uploads, can't disable them, because they're also the Edit page. You want to be able to edit your pages, right? Update the file / description / tags / thumbnails...

QuoteThe next one is to be able to specify the extensions allowed to be uploaded.
Hardcode them into the source files...
I added a dozen (or more) new extensions in SMG 2.0 when I implemented the Documents feature. Which is basically the first step to a full-blown download manager. (Did I say too much? :P)

Have you looked into the translations over at smf-media.com?
